Need guidance on my first grow. 1

Hi friends
This is the morning of day 9 in a growkit (strain is B+).
It's my first time growing and after researching a bit I ignored the instructions of the growkit, which said mist the sides once a day, and instead fanned and misted a 2-4 times a day directly on the substrate so that it would leave a blanket of small water pearls on top. No puddles except in the bottom of the casing, not touching the substrate/mushrooms. Temp is 23c, 12 ambient light/12 dark. However, as you can see on the picture, I am getting a lot of pins in the upper left corner, and the middle-centre left seems really dry? But is it? I'm also getting some pins in the right-middle currently, they came last night (phew). How can I balance out the pinning?
- Does it benefit from being in direct sun for 10m a day (i read conflicting things here)?
- Should I mist more? The instructions said sides only, once a day, so I've been a bit conservative (also not wanting to contaminate it).
- Should I fan more than I do (currently, I only fan when I mist, 2-4 times a day)?
Thank you!

A pretty decent kit there
- yes, direct or indirect sunlight is always best - your misting behaviour seems on point. Mist till theres small dew like beads on top and then mist again when it dries up a bit. Youre doing fine there. - fanning is a bit unnecassary but wont hurt your grow at all. Simply opening your bag FC to mist does what fanning does (FAE).
Also that spot where u said is dry looks just like vermiculite. Shouldnt be an issue. And your pinning is looking really nice. Keep dpimg what youre doing

Idk the myc looks like it was healthy but got soaked and dried out and is starting to mat up.
I’d lightly mist it once or maybe twice a day at most if it looks dry again. Surface conditions are so hard at first. Idk if it’s in a bag or has a lid but try to keep the humidity up higher so it still gets some air but doesn’t get dried out completely.
Looks good for a first grow though.

Dont know if youve stumbled across it yet but heres some really good reading to substantially increase your knowledge so you wont have to do a kit later on since im sure youll be addicted to the hobby soon, if you arent already;) https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24144021
Id definetly recommend getting some agar plates ready so you can take some clones! Streamlines the whole process soooo much more Small Pp5 containers are a good fast cheap n easy way to start if you do it, can just get em at the store

Thank you for your advise, I took them into consideration and things were going well... However, by accident I left my tray in the Scandinavian march sun for 3 hours, and I'm afraid I've "cooked" them (it's a closed bag) or somehow stunted their growth.
It's been 12 days since the above pictures and things are definitely happening down there but the small mushroom pins are hardly growing and have a black/brown look. I'm fairly sure it's not contaminated and I've had a good feeling until I forgot them in the sun - does that ruin the entire kit, or just this harvest? How do I proceed (obviously, keeping them out of direct sunlight). I mist and fan 2-3 times a day, spraying straight on the substrate.
Should I just be patient?

Looking good. More FAE might be required than previously thought. I would mist alot more and fan it a couple of times a day.

Thank you! I'm misting more, and fanning a bit more. However, I can't be the first to say this but even on these forums some people say a lot of FAE and a lot of misting, some say little, some say in-between. It's hard to get a sense of what's right.
I'm a bit worried, there are some pins which have not grow for 12 days, or grown very little in a stunted way.

Here are some pictures for today. The mushroom on the right side (red circle) has not been growing for 12 days, and there's a black cap on top of it. It seems a bit.. whittled.
The mushrooms on the left (red circle) appeared 3-4 days ago, but they're not really growing either at this point. More white "web" stuff is appearing and it has completely enveloped Mushroom city down in the left corner. Is that normal? Will they grow through the mycelium?

What do you think? Are they too dry?

It looks like the pins are reverting back into mycelium or something. I’m not sure if that’s something they do or not but whatever is going on they don’t seem to like it. Maybe there is more going on beneath the surface that’s causing problems and you just can’t see it yet.
Also curious to see what happens here. Once I get pins they always grow except for the random abort here and there, even with grows that are going down to contamination the pins do their thing

More air! More Water! No Heat!
Looks like your standard Vermiculite Spawn grow kit. The instructions are usually horrible with all kits.
Also all joking aside, the sub looks dry, the mycelium looks like in needs more FAE, and it could be my imagination but maybe a little heat stressed. I would guess that the op is using a heat mat or seed mat?
