wet jars after liquid inoculation
    #26542961 - 03/18/20 04:03 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

whatโ€™s up

so i inoculated some jars using an agar puck broken up in some sterilized water. i think i dumped too much water in a few of the jars, & when i tilt some of them they look like this:

i imagine these jars are probably fucked lol

I always steam-dry my rye berries.  I pour the boiling water with the berries in it over a big strainer with cheese cloth, sitting on a 5 gal bucket.  The steam then rises through the strainer and dries the fuck out of em.

Probably going to keep it from reaching 100% colonization.
And unless your jars and inoculant and lid setup are perfect
and sterile it will probably grow contamination. But let it sit
and watch it is all you can do. In the meantime I'd start something new.

Probably.  Was there a tek you were following?  The agar wedges straight to grain would have been better I think.

used munchauzenโ€™s LI tek, iโ€™m sure it would be awesome if you did it properly. iโ€™ll probably try it again in the future

It will colonize. Just leave you with fluffy too grains and LI bottom.
