Corvid plates discussion
    #26542229 - 03/18/20 08:21 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

So here's a quandary and excuse my ignorance.  If you are infected and do some agar/ jar work and you see bacteria on the plate, would it be possible to be the coronavirus?  Then if so could you spawn a bacterial jar to a substrate would that be catchable somewhere down the line for others?

Asking for a friend lol............

This is a good question. Does Covid or more specifically the Corona-SAR need human cells to multiply....I do not think it would replicate for long without Human RNA, but I'm no scientist.

Corona is a virus, not a bacteria. Needs a living host to replicate.

You can't culture a virus on agar. Viruses need living tissue in order to replicate
and multiply, so short answer is no.

You could inject a fertilized egg, but now we're getting into dangerous territory
that maybe shouldn't be posted about

You could inject a clone fruit. That's living tissue.

Covid mutates and now when people walk around coughing on one another and catch it they trip balls for 14 days.

Viruses that infect fungi are called mycovirus' or mycophage and I'm not sure
if viruses are kingdom specific or if an animal virus can transfer to fungi
