Freshly Picked
    #26541871 - 03/18/20 12:21 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hello, this would be my second instance according in the same manor an I failed to seek professional opinions the first go unfortunately. I came about these absolutely gorgeous specimens completely by chance growing near a couple small, no shade producing trees, growing from mulch. Each had white, slightly bluish tinted fungi encompassing the very base of each stem. I have since "cleaned" them up a scosh and I believe that I was able to observe some dark spores. Ever so slight blue discoloration when damaged, sometime after initial contact, gills are tan, the dark brown ones are considerably shorter and the caps are incredibly smooth. Almost feel wet to the touch, though I don't believe so. Again, freshly picked this afternoon, opinions, suggested route to pursue from here, any information I lacked? I appreciate any and everything/everyone's time a great deal. Please and thank you.

I am in southern cali an it is just about early spring here. Weather had been no more than mid 70's, except for these past three or four days it has been raining. Today the sunshine came out and made for a beautiful afternoon and made possible my discovery.

Be careful with these... some of them look like they could be Galerina marginata, which is deadly.  If I'm wrong I'd rather err on the side of caution.

I suspect Agrocybe, but not sure. More information is needed, also better pictures - i.e. in situ, in natural lighting.

In any case they're definitely not psychoactive. Bin them.
