Seems to be dry. A dunk or late casing wouldn’t hurt after it flushes. Seems you have knots just wait it out. You can keep the lid on the main tub until pins are about 1/2 inch in size then dub tub it. I’m wondering if you are losing moisture pre flush.

Well guys they still aren’t grow quite right :frown:
not sure what I did wrong this was my first dub tub attempt. All the times I used grow bags in the past was so easy and mushrooms grew large. What I’ve managed to get to pop up are no bigger than 2in. There is condensation build up in the dubs which I thought was good. But the substrate has a “tight” look to it or maybe “hard” would be a better word 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️
Thinking maybe I should dunk them?

Did you top layer at spawning? I’d say it’s dry. Next round try adding a thin top layer of substrate at spawning.

Yeah this was my first try and I messed up I think by dubbing right from the start, I know for my next round to use the lids first

Next round is ready 😄

They look like they’re good just the conditions are off.

You’ll get the hang of it but next time a top layer and lid and you’ll be set.

Man whatever’s going on with the left side of pic 8 needs to be recreated. I’d grab some clones if you have agar.

What kind are these? Look just like my Burma that I can never get to grow normally.

Ok guys, here is my second attempt.
This time I added a layer of coco coir and Verm to the top.
I just used the lid for these tubs and did not dub them till this post.
I didn’t drill holes in these ones since it’s not really air tight anyway.

Any updates ? 🧐
Trying to see if leaving the lid on and adding the top layer was the answer.
