Switching Petri Lids to Remove Condensation

I know about pouring at the right temps and stacking 10 high, but condensation can still happen to the top ones. The best solution I have read is to place something warm, like a coffee cup with warm water, on the lid for a few minutes, other than storing them upside down - which is another battle in the forums. What if I take an unused perti dish lid into the SAB > wipe it with alcohol > give it 20 seconds to dry while holding the lid right-side up so no contams can fall in > then switch lids in the SAB with lid that has condensation. This would be easier to me than the warm cup trick? Anyone had good\bad luck with switching lids? Thanks for the help

Nope. Alcohol sanitizes, it doesn't Sterilize.
Also, condensation is party of the game. Once your culture starts growing it should let up. Imagine it as a micro climate for your mycelium to use while it's growing.

I flip mine when they get to much condensate, leave them for a couple days and it goes away.

Condensation is a GOOD SIGN!!
Means mycellium is eating. Soon you will get a mushroom smell.

yeah could be, but I think the mold is faster-growing and would appear at the same time as condensation.

Hey.. after you inoculated, you lay them with the lid up or down? i am so confused. after you do inocc, do you leave them lid up for a few minutes before you seal them? My other petri dish are showing growth, I can barely see it through the condensation, but I have placed them lid down since I inoculated.. Thats how Ive been keeping them. Can you help me with the process?
the ones I am not using in the fridge are also lid down. And they also have some condensation.
Today, I tested one of the ones thats showing Myc by cleaning the lid and putting it back on. Hopefully it doesn't contam.
