Very interesting!
Would you say that cultivating P. angulospora is a difficult undertaking then?
Yes, it's difficult.

Last question/s.
Do the recorded collections of P. angulospora from Taiwan also produce a minuscule spore load just like the P. angulospora we get in NZ???
And how do the spores differ quite a bit in shape an size compared to NZ collections? If I may extend my question...

There is no information regarding spore production other than that the gills are violet brown to brownish grey when young, spore print was not studied. The mention of violet brown gills makes me think the spore production is normal in the Taiwanese collections.
Another difference is the habitat and substrate, Taiwanese collections were found in grassland on heavily manured soil.
regarding spores, the NZ collections have much longer spores, more ellipsoid elongate in face view and ellipsoid in side view, the Taiwan collections have shorter and wider spores that are more like those from section Cordisporae, subrhomboid in face view, ellipsoid to ovate in side view. Cystidia are similar in shape, P. angulospora is from section Semilanceatae.
