Naw, I'm pretty decent with mushroom Identification, and I would never eat anything unidentified

Please don't delete your pictures, we learn from each other and when you delete the pictures it messes up the thread.

I've tasted quite a few Galerina specimens. Based upon their raw flavor (young specimens), I bet people who mistakenly cook and eat them think they're pretty delightful...for a while, anyway.

You can taste any mushroom and not die; taste is one of the ways mushrooms are described.
Eating ounces of some mushrooms can be dangerous. Tasting mushrooms is one of the ways to describe them.

he's right, but keep it in mind that if you taste a bunch of Galerina or Poisonous Amanita species you can get sick.
mushrooms must enter the Gastrointestinal tract to make you sick usually, but there are a few reports of people becoming ill from handling large amounts of Amanita at one time and touching there eyes and absorption through skin but none were serious.
I recommend if you taste mushrooms, spit and rinse immediately after, never swallow anything.
