Golden Oysters aren't golden
    #26540721 - 03/17/20 12:43 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hi,

Here's my first attempt at indoor growing Golden Oyster on cakes. Subtrate is a mix of:

1 cup hardwood shavings
1 cup verm
1 cup water
1/2 cup BRF
1/2 cup wheat bran

inoculated one month ago with a commercially purchased l.c.
Put to fruit 10 days ago in SGF, with lid partally open.

Fruits are about 1 week old, but none are golden.

Can anyone please tell me if this is normal at this stage of growth? I've had a quick search but the examples that I've found are a lovely bright yellow color.

Lighting is 6700k 12h on/off.
Temp is about 70f.

I can post more pics when they are more mature, if this would help with identification.

Any info / IDs would be really appreciated.

Thank you!

The thought had crossed my mind, too. I grew KOs a while back, from a clone, and they looked very similar.
But I've never grown Golden Oysters before, so have no experience to compare against.

Thanks, I think you're right...
