Mono tubs Setup Recommendations

I recently received 12 66qt totes and am undecided how I should modify them for mono tubs I currently have 6 patsywhyte ez-dial in monos but not sure if this is the best setup out there with proven results let me know which ones you’ve experience success with. Also, in my grow space what’s your thoughts on lighting will the stack tubs receive enough should I hang some more lights in the center?

I haven’t used pasty’s EZ Dialed Monos but his results don’t lie, I plan to make a couple of ez tubs to try out next. Right now Im running class monos with six 1.5inch holes. I use pasty’s micropore Tek instead of Polly though. I’d make up a couple of each and see what u like more

I think plenty of people have succeeded with the ez dialed tubs... that’s what I would probably do tbh... drilling big ass holes then stuffing them with Poly to constrict airflow sounds counterproductive IMO...I never messed with my poly on a single tub and mine did just fine, except onetime where I didn’t drill enough holes and it got pseudomona bacterial infection...

And it looks like those are the same exact tubs he used, correct? If so I’d definitely do the ez tubs

Ya that’s what I was planning to do but wanted to check with the community see if someone experience exceptional results. Any recommendations with lighting? By the way on each tub there will be stack of 3

Amazon search 6500k led 4foot lights and there's a 6 pack I think, they're great, I got the ones with high lumens.
PS I use monotubs with mp tape. I know ayeplus and just_a_noob among others have good success with the no tape method.

Call me old fashioned but I have yet to go to the clear side. It's been awile for me. But my success rate with a 10 hole poly stuff is damn near 10/10 into second and third flushes. Colonization I had them stuffed moderately tight. You couldnt see light through them. When it was time to go. I loosened up the majority of them and really was abll to get real time results on tightening up back some. If your using a casing layer it might matter. I let my field capicity casing layer do most of the job, it indicates the conditions with inside the tub with very easy visual moisture control. I used dark 18 gal roughnecks and made lid windows. It was a hassle until i found water proof gorilla tape. But I just used seran wrap for my windows. Got it nice and tight, but with the trash bag liners ALL monotubs should have side pinning was viirtually never an issue. MY QUESTION: Do you need to tape up the clears if you using thick black plastic linings? I wouldnt think you would have to.

Yeah LEDs are fine, you're looking for color spectrum (and the lumens don't hurt)
Vertical, that's what I've ended up doing in addition to the horizontals.
The multipacks come with connectors about a foot long, if you want to link them further buy a handful of 5 foot connector cables for them for a cleaner look.

First smoke a bunch of weed, then try to set then up with as much light penetration as possible.
In there, without standing in there I'd say what I'd do is have one horizontal and then the have one vertically in each corner.
That'd be the most out of the way when mixing tubs and best dispersal.
When feesible I'd get a couple shelves in there, they're great for hanging off of, the lights will come with little wire loop hooks for hanging.
Maybe with shelves I'd have the lights hung on the front side of each shelf, lighting the one opposite from it. Still four verticals though.

Addressing placing the lights vertical in the corners, they’d require a fixture for the 4ft tubes is that what you’d recommend or different size light or configuration? I was planning the shelves interesting hanging on each tier a 4fter on front wouldn’t that work for all tubs directly under it? By the way already blown funny you said that.

I am not exactly sure what you're asking. You'll be able to see where the dark spots are when it's filled with tubs and go from there.
Here's the link for what I'd reccomend. https://www.amazon.com/4FT-LED-Shop-Light-Integrated/dp/B07P2CBY9K/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=4ft+led+6500k&qid=1584488213&sr=8-4

I assume you're talking about taping the tub to keep light out? If so, the answer is light is not what's causing side pins so no. You can use clear tubs with clear liners if you want.
@OP I am currently using Pasty's EZ monos and they work great!
