I rescued this Oxalis form a hoard of fungus gnats a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was a goner, until I noticed this today!

So I have to get new buckets to transplant the triplets. 5 gallons are too short. I will get tall trash pail(s) and drill some holes. You guys think i should try and separate them? They have been growing in the same bucket with a divider for 7+ years.

Very nice man! Yes, I would separate them for sure, and they will thank you for it I can't believe they have done that well in such small pots. I bet they are quite root-bound!

I'm not sure what type of citrus this is, but it's severely root-bound and needs a re-pot badly! I dug it up from the wild about five or so years ago. Anybody got any ideas on what it could be? I think it might be a Grapefruit. If it ever stops raining, I'll get it into a bigger pot,and hope that it will bloom eventually.

Oca (Oxalis tuberosa) getting a head start on Spring.
Been curious about oca... Is it worth growing? Easy? My climate is Midwestern north american. Just started leeks and "Clancy" TPS potatoes (along with TPS potato seeds I saved from last year).
Very easy to cultivate. Absolutely delicious. Probably my favorite tuber. They take 6 months from start tuber to finish. I'm in Western Washington State and they find the climate very agreeable.

Not a concern with this variety. They are a staple food in South America. They're great cooked or raw. I prefer raw with a touch of sea salt.

this is a 7 day old Oxalis Carnosa. People turn them into bonsais since they have those fat asses (caudex)
This is what people do with them.
Natural form.

"They" call em succulents. They have thicker, waxier leaves then other oxalis' I have seen. Not sure what makes a succulent a succulent. It sure is succulant-esk. I have never really been into succulents or cacti.I was gifted some loph seeds a month or so ago and a small obsession was spurred. I have a thread here in my journal that I'm using to make a post on Mixed specie Loph planters. I will re locate when my specimens are big enough.

Yeah dude, those have to be classified as a succulent for sure!
Man, you got skills brother! I looked at your journal pics, and I thought to myself, Man this guy cold be rich, selling those arrangements for sure!
I would kill for some of those plants, and I love the Saffron and Crocus! They are both in my top wish list of plants to obtain! Too bad sources aren't allowed, because I'd love to know where you acquired them from!

I've lost all patience with ants. They were on what looked to be a clean 2X4 piece and I was scratching a little half-inch ditch to get all the rain away from my garden that was flowing in under the greenhouse and one stung near a nerve or just the right spot and the mother plant bapped with the board.
They get sprayed with ant poison regardless of what they are in now.

Broke it off at the base, I wanted to try and cut it just above an overlapped areole and remove the non-overlapped ones to see if it would offshoot fasciated by selecting the doubled one, but that experiment is no longer available to me for now ;(.
The mother still has 2-3 dormant crests to grow from, so another opportunity will come. Cleaned the jagged material off of this one, dabbed it in sulfur and planted in the shade. I guess this is plant #4 including the mother. Hopefully I'll have several dozen by the end of Summer and can let 1-2 out to people I think will help propagate it.
