Slight blue hue to mycelium
    #26539829 - 03/17/20 01:49 AM (3 years, 10 months ago)

It's been around 20 odd days since I inoculated and only this morning I noticed a slight blue hue to the thickest bit of mycelium. Is this something to be worried about

I’m new but I’ve had about 15-20 successful jars so far and yours looks no different than mine.

It's the lack of progress over 20 odd days I'd be worried about.

Germination didnt happen until day 6 so its actually 17 days of growth. I have multiple jars and they have other smaller growths. Do you still think that's too small for 17 days?

Ahhh Ms inoc. Yeah, still too slow. Looks a bit dry. Play with agar while you wait.

Any suggestions or do I just wait? I'm going to be cloning fruits when this is done

All you can do is wait. Meanwhile get more irons in the fire.
If you must do multispore inoc, your best bet for cloneable fruit is PF Tek. Make a few while you wait.

I guess syringes to grain jars has a higher rate of contams. I used 16-20 month old syringes, and had 0 contams out of 15 or so grain jars. I guess it all depends.... one of mine looked slightly bacterial but they all look awesome in shoeboxes.
