Anyone know if Boston round bottles can be sterilized in a PC? Don't seem to be much info in the search.

Was gonna use em as a makeshift agar bottle if they could be put in the PC without any issues.

Well if they're glass they should be ok and you're not trying to put actual pressure in them like a seal or anything. The plastic lids may have a plastic type symbol on them which will signify if they can withstand the temps.

The black cap looks like a phenolic cap which should be okay. Not sure about the blue cap, as rumfor said check for any marking on it to identify type of plastic. For the bottles themselves if they're glass they're probably ok.

Yeah I've checked the caps. Not much info as far as stating like pp5 or anything. I figured the glass may be ok. But just wanted some feedback before I tried to PC them in case anyone had major problems haha

Hmmm it's so hard to tell if the caps will be ok. Do a test run with the bottles just having some water in them and the caps on lose and the water the cooker requires to operate safely. Maybe they melt maybe not but you'll safely enough get your answer.

Was thinking about running them like that and then placing the caps in some tinfoil as well just to see if they'll survive. I have quite a few bottles laying around lol. So if those 2 don't work. No harm no foul. Lol
