Can this go into bulk?

Isn't it lovely to see your first autonomous grow from syringe to fruit develope?
Anyways, i'm trying out a Monotub next and prepared some quarts and halfquart jars of BRF cakes, that are almost done.
One jar has some recognizable situation:

Right at the meeting point of Vermiculite layer and Substrate there is an open area, that looks a bit like a small wound. Indication for bacteria infection?
And if so, would this be a problem if i spawn this to bulk with a furhter couple jars (Verm-Coir Substrate)?

Looks a little questionable but we will never know till you try! Smell should be a good indicator .

It would probably be better to just fruit it as it is... Spawning brf cakes into coir doesn't even really increase yield, but if you really want to try it, then i recommend spawning only your cleanest cakes.

I will go of your latest point.
The idea with spawning to bulk comes mostly from a) i want to try it and b) the cake will be quite tall and thin and thus quite fragile to stand up without falling (when handling the FC).
I will do the smelling test for sure!

Thanks!
I'll crumble them down and mix it 1:4 with a bulking substrate (when all cakes consolidated). The bulking substrate will consist of 2xCowManure, 1xVermiculite, 1xCoir, 5% Gypsum, all pasteurized.
It will go into a Small Monotub (18l) and an unmod Mini/Shobox (4,5l).
Actually i'm quit curious as to how they turned out. I cannot recall the strain, because the vendor mixed them up and i ended with a different one from what i ordered. I believe it was called Mexican, but i'm not sure if it is the Psilocybe Cubensis Mexican, or the Psilocybe Mexicana (which grows Sclerotia). I'm guessing for the Cube though. m

Smelling is a good indicator. You were absolutely right. The jar did smell completely fruity / sweet / rotten / fermenting
I considered tossing it, but then decided to spawn it into the Cow Manure, Coir, Vermiculite Gypsum Substrat (pasteurized 2h at 170F). I could not percieve a downside, as i would have to toss the substrate otherwise and i have a shoebox free.
After a couple days, i checked on it:
I will wait a couple days and then put it into fruiting (right?). Smells mostly like fruity C-Poo at the moment
On the other hand, the cakes in the HC are doing farily well; it is a different batch and different strain though:

averaging at 20g wet atm
