I am planning on using my first grow for microdosing primarily and an researchingb the best way to store ground mushrooms for as long as possible.
Would, air lock bags with powder in, frozen, work well?
Small bags defrosted weekly.. that kind of thing?

Vac sealing is the way to go. An attachment to vac seal jars is nice.
I've never put it in the freezer. Long as it's air tight and in a dark
dry place it's good to go for a very long time.

Freezing the powder is not a good idea, since the water condensing when defrosting will turn it into a sludge. Put the powder into capsules and store them in an airtight jar with a desiccant pack at room temp.

The problem with powdering them is that you break up the structure of the mushroom and expose a lot more of the actives to oxygen, which can lead to loss of potency. Storing them in a vacuum bag is ideal. If you can't manage that then get some oxygen absorbing packs and throw them in.
Otherwise consider storing the dried fruits whole and grinding them as needed (although this means that the strength of your micro doses will vary slightly.
Finally I've had some success in mixing measured doses of powder with measured amounts of honey. It solves the oxygen problem and it comes out comes out at a 0.1g micro dose per teaspoon of honey. This is my preferred method these days.

I freezer store .5g capsules in a mason jar with a desiccant packet. One jar was in there for over a year and they had no noticeable potency loss when finally used.

Ive considered taking my powder and machining a mandrel to put in my hydraulic press to make powder into 30 ton pressed pucks. Should take care of the oxygen exposure to all that is not the outside surface.

That would be bad ass.
Even just a pill press would probably be cool. I think I have an old kif press somewhere I should try that out.
lol if you did the hydraulic pucks you’d have a hard time convincing anybody it’s mushroom.
Here just chisel yourself off a dose.

Many of us have cap machines. I have 3 of them. They are great but gets old when doing a lot. Plus the capsules aren't free.
