Are these cakes dead ?

These are brf cakes in a sgfc. They each gave me one jumbo Cambodian shroom, and now they look like this. Kinda blue on top and all around. Dried up?

Recently I changed my misting practice from spraying just the perlite to keep the humidity up, to fine misting the entire contents of the sgfc (cakes and all) from a distance of about 12-18 inches, and fanning.

These cakes share space with some GT's I just added. GT's are fruiting nicely, but only on the sides. I changed my misting practice about the same time as I added the GT's. The Cambodians had been in there about a week or two and I went to some pains w/them not to spray the fruiting cakes directly as I thought that was bad.

I cant tell if its mold or blueing from drying out, im wantin to say the drying out but im sure someone else with better eyes and screen will chime in

You could re soak them if youre worried they are too dry, i had just let mine sit in an inch or two of water for a few hours after the flushes(even with pins on em) the myc will absorb what it can then transfer it around accordingly. And cubes can withstand being misted just if its done too often and they sit with water on em theyll start to get a slimy feel to the cap

If you can you should make up some agar plates so you can clone some of your fruits! It sounds difficult but its honestly super easy At the very least make sure to take some prints for future use

I moved to bottom watering on my last cakes a couple of years ago. Works like a charm. Here
