 Is edX free online courses too good to be true?

Apparently they are offering tons of free classes. No idea what the fuck this is or what the benefit is but.....
Is it real?
So anyway I enrolled in sustainability in architecture an interdisciplinary course, hong kong cinema through a global lens, international humanitarian law, and road traffic safety in automotive engineering and donated $10.
Yet now I have no idea which part of the website to go to take these actual free courses. Hmmmm, you get what you pay for huh?
Edit: ok I see. You have limited access to the course if you don't pay additional fees for course material, certificates, books and access to online teachers etc.
Still........ Pretty cool to find anything for free

There are plenty of other, free online courses. Coursera has free classes and I thought MIT did theirs as well. No reason not to do this nowadays, it costs basically nothing to broadcast a course.
