Quote:
(ANSA) - Rome, March 10 - Over two million face masks and some 10,000 pulmonary ventilators are set to reach Italy from China under contracts about to be signed, after a phone call between Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and Chinese counterpart Wang Yi Tuesday. Wang assured Di Maio that Italian orders for the ventilators would be made a priority by Chinese firms after similar requests were made by other European countries. Wang also told Di Maio that the Chinese government had instructed its firms to export two million medical masks. To start with, China is ready to send 100,000 high-tech masks and 20,000 protective suits, along with 50,000 swabs.
This is what global leadership looks like. The sun rises in the east.

Or maybe there's another angle...
The Chinese Workers Who Assemble Designer Bags in Tuscany
"Many Italians in Italy sold their leather goods and textiles companies to China.
"Italy then allowed 100,000 Chinese from Wuhan/Wenzhou to move to Italy to work in these factories, with direct Wuhan flights.
"Result: Italy is Europe’s hotspot for Wuhan Coronavirus."
The Coronavirus death rate in China is now down to 0.7% – and rapidly declining.
China has used medication called 'Interferon Alpha 2B (IFNrec)'.
"It is not known and used in the world, because the US, under the illegal embargo of Cuba, does not allow the medication to be marketed internationally."

I don't see that as 'another angle'. Just more information. Europe is desperate for more ventilators, and these will save the lives of many, many people.
-------------------- I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

It's China's fault this happened. China was incompetent. They lie about shutting down their outdoor slaughter markets.
The Chinese government is trying to push that the U.S.brought corona to China. The Chinese government also threatened to hold our medicine hostage. Our relationship with China is over, and they need us more than we need them.
The decoupling is going to be the best thing to happen. Not for the Chinese. They lost with globalism, completely. They wont be a single nation in the next few decades.

Here is the person who's information I was repeating when I got banned. He has a Chinese wife and lived there for over a decade. This is China's fault, and their government is evil
Remember, children are starving and people that are living innocent lives that you can't blame them for are taking the worst part of this.
He predicted China trying to say we caused this, weeks ago.

I have to say China has really been impressive. Did they try to hide the disease at first? Yeah. But that didn’t last long and they have become a font of information and data on the nature of covid-19. Their containment measures seemed dystopian as fuck at first, but holy shit did they work. It’s almost sad that the rest of the world didn’t learn the lessons they were teaching us. I don’t think most of the west is capable of doing the things China did. Seems like strong authoritarian competent governments aren’t bad at epidemics.

I’m pretty hopeful that this event has taught the Chinese the lesson that the free flow of information isn’t going to to bring down the state IF the state is competent. The Chinese people as a whole seem extremely proud of what they have done.

This is a government says they have like 100 flu deaths a year.
Anyone commending them or taking the numbers they give seriously...I can't help you.
It's their fault it wasn't contained. They said they shut the slaughter markets down, and didnt. They didn't want to 'loose face', and the dishonesty inherit in this is part of the cause. Someone sees a problem and they don't report it because they don't want punished.

The Chinese propaganda sure works on leftists. It must be the curse of literally always being wrong.
They are probably not testing so they don't have to report, or not reporting because members of the CCP said not to.

As repressive as their government is, haven’t we (us and them) all learned it is simply impossible to hide an epidemic on this scale. If it was still raging there, they would not be able to cover it up just as they were not capable of hiding it once a couple dozen people got sick.
The only country in the world likely capable of hiding something like this is North Korea, and only for a short period of time.

I can understand why you would think that way.
China lost tens of millions of people in the 60's. Someone could kill hundreds of people next door and you wouldn't ever know if you didn't see it. there isn't a third party keeping track of this, and if there is, they would be in China where human rights don't exist.
The incubation also makes lying easier. You aren't getting many people every day. What I think, because I can think like these evil people, is that they took advantage of an asymptomatic period and decided to count things differently.
They tried to change standards once and for caught. I'd say the next thing would be not testing, using faulty tests and reporting those numbers, blaming deaths on other causes, or complete denial of deaths
That's what I'd do if I were the CCP.
You need something like 80% of a population to get infected before collective immunity achieved in any substantial way.

No that was terrible. He’so wrong about the use of eponymous virus names. They may appear innocuous now, but they were most definitely pejorative or caused scorn. Not naming the virus Wuhan spares that city from being best known for a disease. Because politicians will scapegoat Wuhan for their own domestic blunders.
Also, wet markets are gross but they are really no more dangerous than commercial farming here. The “Spanish” flu started on a farm in Kansas. A zoonotic virus like the coronavirus.

This is why I call leftists evil. You are going and rationalizing the lie. That's absolutely disgusting. Many viruses are named after their place of origin. We also need to keep repeating that it came from china, from Wuhan, before the Chinese government can try to obscure it's origin as it is already doing.
China just killed a third of its pigs. Their quality standards are not analogous to ours. The Spanish flu was surfing WWI. That isn't reticent to the practices of either nation today.
The Chinese government plays the leftist game of 'I cry as I strike you'. You can't give them anything or they will start spinning things. These games need called out and their feelings ignored

I watched the whole vid and he spoke about a lot more than just the virus being labelled from Wuhan. He pointed out the W.H.O needs to cop a fair amount of blame for the spread as well as the slow response from the U.S. government. His take on the Chinese government spinning the story about the possibility the virus came from the U.S. looks correct. Makes Trump look like an amateur when it comes to not letting the truth get in the road of a good story.
Anyone got an hour to burn? check it out.

People here know Dilbert, right?
Dilbert creator Scott Adams has a podcast. His take is that we are allowing the crushing slowly so as not to overwhelm the medical system, and to immunize the population.
China is trying to stop it entirly.
These things can't exist together.

China has a problem in its success. Now the rest of the world is its biggest threat to their health. Doesn’t mean the public health strategy here is bad. It’s exactly right.
