First venture out with fresh Mazatapec 4

A bit of background on my first Mazatapec grow problems! Here.
Basically, just as pins started, I had to go away for work for a couple of weeks. Saved it though and got 1kg first flush. Made myself a lemon tea with 55g wet. I was very nervous, but had to dose.
I’ve worked away from home for years. But I’ve managed to find local work and have been based at home for 4.5 years. During which I came off SSRIs, learnt to grow, and returned to mushrooms. So having to go away again was a shock. Used it as a springboard to stop drinking and smoking mid-week; weekends only now.
So coming home on Thursday night, I was buzzing. I’ve been doing 11 hour days, not sleeping, then travelling back 300 miles. But the adrenaline kept me going. As soon as I walked through the front door, it hit me, and I basically lost the plot. There was no wine! BOOM! Back in a deep depression. Just like that.
Then I checked my first wage slip, and the govt have taken half! Then learned car had failed MOT; £1500 kerching! So yeah, felt pretty shit. Wanted to pack it all in!
Got up Friday, and the depression was still there, still strong. So even though I for some reason didn’t feel like it wa right taking mushrooms, the low sort of forced me to dose, to try to shift it.
So took them late; spent time with my wife and daughter, and we all had a pizza, and the trimmings. Not ideal 3 hours before drinking mushroom tea.
The trip.
I was not expecting a fast come up because of the pizza. I was also nervous so had heard alcohol reduces come up anxiety; I drank about half a bottle of red wine and smoked about three joints before drinking the tea at 8:35pm.
I felt the first buzzes and minor wave at 20 mins.
At 40 mins, the come up wave really hit hard, and it seemed to accelerate me into hyperspace, much faster than from my usual dried B+ of Golden teachers. My vision became overlaid with fractals. And the body buzz; I have never felt so erotic on mushrooms. I wouldn’t like to say what thoughts were going through my head, but imagine a testosterone fuelled teenager!
Before the first hour was up, the body load was so intense, I was laid down, barely able to open my eyes; I was having an out of body experience, I was floating through clouds, time had stopped completely, Nd I was absolutely transcended from time and space.
Within an hour folks!
Had to put some trance on. Hallucinogenic - Twisted. It sounded simply heavenly. Honestly, for me, felt better than any MDMA-fuelled rave I ve been too.
And every time I managed to open my eyes, the colours were vibrant but pastel shades, everything overlaid with beautiful fractals and hieroglyphics.
As people have recommended this strain to me, I completely get it now; no anxiety, gentle, but very spiritual and mystical. When the waves would come in, they are the most intense waves I have felt off any cubensis. For a moment, each time, I would think this is going south. Then boom, feeling euphoric and heavenly again, no fear, just love and bliss.
Then at 3 hours, I managed to open my eyes, and suddenly felt...I’m coming down. The come-down was surprisingly quick and clean. My head felt more or less clear at 4 hours. Possibly a great candidate to use with harmalas 👍🏻
I’ve now got loads of fresh Mazatapec tea ice cubes, each 0.75g dry equivalent (but fresh) 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Got loads of great spore prints.,agar work ahead, I’ll be growing lots of this strain. It’s simply BEAUTIFUL
Conclusions
Why did I learn? Don’t know, really, it wasn’t that kind of a trip. I had a very spiritual out of body experience. My ego completely dissolved, but not in any kind of a scary way. It was comforting and very easy to accept. Hence why Mazatapec are considered mystical and spiritual. I did feel quite a lot of stomach discomfort, but on reflection, I think I strained the tea too forcefully! But anyway, it was never a problem.
And I’ve woken up this morning with no depression, a great mood, Nd a new perspective on things. Can’t change stuff, it is what it is, crack on and enjoy life. I don’t know how psilocybin does this, I just know from empirical study, that it rids me of depression. It’s a beautiful gift, for which I’ll ever be grateful.
Hope you enjoyed reading. ❤️❤️❤️ DJ Ed

Really happy to read of your positive experience-- I've seen repeatedly that tea is a faster come-up and bigger "peak-punch" with an overall shorter trip. This is logical, (especially as you added lemon acids) because your body doesn't have to break down the mushroom flesh to release the alks more gradually and deeper into the intestines.
Your report reminds me of why I have several grows of different types started (for the first time in many many years(!) )
I can't wait to join you

Cheers coAsTal, I wish you every success 👍🏻
Yes this is the best thing I’ve done in a while, starting to change things up a bit.
The come up was both intense, but gentle and quick, the peak seemed to last forever, was intense but gentle, and the come down was really quick. Overalll I’m really impressed with how welcoming the mushrooms made me feel. I’d been led to believe they give a gentle head and body buzz; the ones I’ve grown gave me an intense body buzz. But in all other respects, as they’ve been described , spiritual and mystical 👍🏻

Thanks for the report Ed! Even though there’s a lot of people who say “a cube is a cube” I've always liked the sound of mazatapec. I did a ms grow with them not too long ago and have clones on grain right now at about 10-20% colonized. Have yet to try the maz yet though. Still working my way through another variety. Glad to hear it was positive all around. Take care!

I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with your Mazatapec. I was also led to believe they are not as strong as your typical Cubensis, but that’s not how they played out for me, in fact the waves were the strongest I’ve felt from any Cubensis I I’ve tried (golden teacher, Ecuador, b+), or even from liberty caps; so a few things could have been at play - the first flush from multi spore was a lucky strong flush; the lemon tea from fresh worked a treat, and the ratio of lemon to mushroom was close to ideal, or one of many other factors.
But yeah I’ll be growing these out to try to isolate, then stocking up. Already ordered loads more ice cube trays :-)

It was really pleasant. Although it felt really intense at times, I never felt threatened, or not for long! Can’t wait for Friday, regardless of the UK just going into lockdown........

Cheers bud, appreciate that. And just arrived home after officially being sent home to work remotely. After a 300 mile drive though, I won’t be working today. Glass of wine later and a joint more likely
And the roads were so quiet; it can take me 8 hours but today was 4 and a bit. And got to open my car up for once.......75mph felt awesome

Take care yourself brother
