Butternut squash are softer than acorn or other types of squash, which makes them easier to cut and prepare.

1 CC is enough, but if you've got spores to spare I'd suggest about 2.5 CC

Well Domey,I imagine that those mycobags are nice and sterile if they dont have any visual contamination after the two years of sitting. I might be concerned about the moisture content if they have an air exchange patch ,however. If they do you might want to rehydrate with some sterile water injected via the port, along with your spores. I have never seen a mycobag so all this about the water content is just a guess based on what I have seen in pictures and what I have read. Good Luck with the free stuff(Im sure the prints are just fine as long as they have been stored in ideal conditions)
Hope you get lotsa good fruits for you and your friend.

MYKEY
