80lbs down. 8

The left is me this morning, the right is me from December 2018. The scale is rising again which sucks, but I know it's because I'm actually building muscle. Me. Building muscle.
It's really difficult to describe the feeling of going from that person on the right to the person on the left. I'm still flawed, VERY flawed, but at least I'm healthy and I feel good inside. I feel clean.

Thank you guys, I sincerely appreciate the compliments. I can never go back to what I was. I felt like shit, looked like shit, I even got really bad gout attacks. It's fucking embarrassing seeing my own fat picture but its comforting knowing I will never return to that state of mind or being ever again.

You didnt look like shit, you looked out of shape. Don't look down on your old self, he quite literally bore a heavy burden.

No he doesn't need to put on fat. When you lose a lot of weight like that you lose some muscle and it's damn near impossible to put it on. If you're over weight the key is to lose all the fat before you add the muscle. Most people I know can't do it the slow way so it's best just to drop the weight as fast as possible in my opinion.
I would start lifting weights and stop looking at the scale so much. The problem I had is that I would look at the scale instead of my body fat percentage. For now on you should go by your body fat percentage instead of your overall weight. You honestly look a lot better!

Thank you!
I know I have a naturally large frame so I knew cardio would be my best friend, and it is. I love long cardio, hate lifting.
I feel like I've finally found a happy medium between the two, now, so I don't feel as bad sacrificing "gains" for cardio.

I would at least do pushups. Buy yourself a set of perfect pushups! I swear you won't regret it! It'll get you nice and fit. The good one's are only 27 dollars. It'll be a step in the right direction .. https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Fitness-Pushup-Elite/dp/B008DNAJ5M

That’s awesome man, good job u look great! I’m taking a swing in the other direction unfortunately... gained over 50lbs since my wife got pregnant the first time... I used to always be shredded but now I’m just straight chubby. Pants went from a 32 to a 40....
How did you do it? Did you follow any kind of diet exercise regimen or did you just cut portion sizes?

All you have to do is count calories and drink a ton of water. Exercise helps but you don't actually have to do it to lose weight. When I want to drop weight I just eat 1300 calories a day and I lose 3-4 pounds a week. People make it sound more complicated than it actually is. The key is to stop being lazy lol.

Ya I get that... in all reality it comes down to : calories in vs calories out (burned) you need to be burning more than you consume and your body uses its fat reserves... I was just wondering if he used a certain method of cutting cals such as low carb or keto etc
