Love that we thread jacked this one.
Yes, someone needs to do the sweating and coughing bit just for YouTube.
Also on a good note. If your still employed, go ahead and drink that beer on your lunch hour, fucking no one's coming close enough to smell you during these trying times. Happy Saint Patrick or what ever.

Oh yeah I forgot I have a bale of straw in the backyard. It's pretty dirty shit though has some seed in it. Also the bully pissed all over it a couple times. Also also it's been rained on several times and is now growing grass out of the top. Also have a bunch of compost I was using with success but man I'm lazy and haven't wanted to pasteurize anything lately. The straw it smells ok and the compost smells good enough but when the 2 are mixed they smell putrid it me makes me want to puke.
I need more coir. Got a 3 pack in the mail last night they are gone already I was that backed up. The homie woof sent me another 3 pack(thanks bro) and that probably won't last me long. I've got like 300lbs of grains though so if worst comes to worst I'll just start lightly casing and fruiting the grains lmao.
I've got maybe a quart of iso.
Maybe 4oz agar tops.
400 petris
Plenty of malt extract.
A case of beer. Ive been sober but just in case.
A pack of smokes.
Some spores.
And plenty of time on my hands.

I bought 30 bricks on amazon, supposed to be here tomorrow
It's about the same price on amazon in canada as you can find at the pet stores here so I just went with it. Our cheapest option is home hardware 5kg blocks but the one near me was sold out for a while.

Wow you stocked up lmao. I was getting the 5kg bricks from Wally world bit they never restocked them this year and I can't buy coir locally. I was thinking about ordering a couple more 3 packs.

I think a lot of my supplies are about to be lost by FedEx. Package has sat at the same place since Sunday, and the deliver date changes everyday to add a day. I've ordered a lot of stuff shipped FedEx and usually when that happens it means it's got lost.
That'd be a major bummer. It's like 150$ worth of myco supplies. Grain, gypsum, verm, beakers, plates, MEA, and a bunch of other little odds n ends. Really hope it comes through.

Ups was doing the same with my package kept pushing back the delivery date but it finally touched down. I think it's something to do with the coronavirus stupidity going on.

I hope so. I got everything else already. Really wanna start making some spawn jars and MEA plates this weekend, but the grain and agar is all held up in that package.

i never thought itd b this hard to get iso my god. all these panic stricken morons are buying up all my myco supplies wtf. im in chicago area and was able to grab 5 bottles of 70% finally. i went to walmart before work at 530 am and waited in line for them to open at 6 so i was able to get in there with fresh stocked shelves so i suggest trying the same thing if your hard up for some. they did have a limit of 5 bottles so i just bought the 5 so i dont have to go thru this mess again in a month. good luck

Thrill said: Maybe, its been a long while since I went looking for jars. I remember I never had a problem buying the tall half pints, or wide mouth pints and quarts. They used to have a few packs of each. But its been, shit, like 4 or 5 years now since I went looking last.
Just thought it was funny, latex gloves, alcohol pads, isopropyl, disinfectant, all readily available there. Mason jars, just about gone lol.
You'll see more Jar's in the fall when people are canning.
The supermarket here usally have 1qts for 10.99 then!

Just make a sugar wash and pitch a good universal yeast. If you dont have access to a good universal yeast use a rapid rise bread yeast from a grocery store. I like fleischman yeast walyworld has the best price on it but you can also get it at kroger and maybe surefine. Or wherever. Then you just wait for the fermentation to stop rack it once to leave behind the muck and distill. Its not exactly iso but just as effective.
