Aren’t second flushes supposed to be bigger?

I have been have success with my first flushes using Bods unmodified tubs. Nice full canopies of beautiful shroomies. But after I have harvested(using the float and cut method) I can’t seem to get another full pin set. Any suggestions?

Usually the individual mushrooms can be bigger, but you’ll get less weight than the first flush.
What are the ones in your signature? Some kind of amazon/pesa?

Did you rehydrate the sub for 24 hours? completely submerged in water?
Do that, then just put it back into fruiting conditions, max FAE, and it should recover after 5-7 days.
The issue I have personally is that rather than having a defined 1st and 2nd flush, they kind of just blend together, so there's never a perfect time to completely rehydrate the tub.
So, instead, throughout the fruiting cycle, around the time I have PINS with defined caps, not primordia, I will start bottom watering with just bout 10cc of water at a time, using a needle in the corner of the tub, sticking it down in the corner, then tilting the tub to let it run through the bottom of the substrate.
I don't think it'll be possible to get a clear 1st flush, with a pause between the 1st and 2nd, until you're working with a monoculture, or clone. The difference in genetics means theres going to be differences in the growth cycle with each specimen growing in the tub, assuming each specimen represents a different phenotype

I’ve never had new pins while harvesting, that’s weird man. It’s always they’re all ready no matter how big they are, or they’re aborted.
I personally had problems with long dunks, I’d get waterlogged flushes. I started putting an inch or so of water in the tub and letting it sit for an hour of two, then spraying the top down really well and draining the water out.

This explains a lot. And that’s why I need to start getting into agar.
