White fuzzy contamination

Hi,
First post, be gentle.
1st batch ever. Got decent colonization of BRF cakes despite packing the mix to hard (I.e. to dense). Birthed them when small cubensis appeared and placed them in a misting chamber using moist perlite, sprayed them 1-2 times a day.
Growth ensued.
As did this white shady looking stuff that appears to be a contamination. The smell is less of the pleasant mushroom smell, and more like an old dish rag.
Any educated guesses?

Thanks!

I think its mycelium if I am looking at what you are.
It probably went aerial because it wants more oxygen.

Ok! I have around 60 drilled holes in contact with the outside, they are evenly distributed , 5 mm diameter. More holes on the bottom and under the perlite layer.
It is sufficient to ventilate twice daily, or does that greatly increase the risk of mold contamination?
I’ll update when the situation changes, even a false negative can be useful to know about.

They look like the could use a bit more time incubating before any definitive answers can be given. Also, the resolution is pretty poor to say anything more conclusive.
My jars took their sweet time, but after I loosened up the lid somewhat (protecting against intruders with foil and the standard 1 cm layer of verm on top) my cultures took of and soon after produced pins.
Good luck!

Ok good those holes are good.
The mushrooms like as much air as possible without drying out.
To be clear, once they come out of the jar their fate is basically already decided. Being clean once you spawn them from the jar is pointless. They have covered all the seeds in there, and the molds in your apartment have nothing to grow on so thats why cleanliness isnt important at this stage.
