Planning to grow Golden Teachers, is there something unique about the trip effects they give?

Wondering why and how this species got its name.
Is this species said to have any special effects as opposed to other species since they're called golden teachers, does the trip teach you lessons?
If you've taken golden teachers, feel free to let me know your experience with them.
Planning to take a 50 gram fresh dose when I harvest. I've taken a 27g fresh dose with mexcican cubensis 2 years ago, I feel up for a more intense journey next time.
Peace

They're excellent cubes-- but everyone will tell you that ANY cube you grow that is not a cloned culture of a specific mushroom of known potency is going to be borne of countless spores breeding and growing together-- in other words, no two grows contain the "same" exact measurable/predictable effects, because each grow is born of unique combinations of spore combinations.
I've loved GT's, grown them myself, and you will have a very good time. But that's true of most cubes if you follow the directions and get the basics right.

I don't know how GT got it's name, but I've heard a lot lately about how "they give the best trips"...seems pretty gimmicky to me.
Gt's are a good cube though. They generally yield pretty well and have decent potency, but like costal said exact genetics are everything. I've heard of bunk PE, and there are B+ that are super strong. You can't really have consistency without isolating or cloning, and any trip can teach you lessons IMO...
Hope you have a nice harvest + trip when you get there!

GTs have the most golden caps, and also slightly golden stems, of all commercially spread cubensis varieties, that's why the name. They really are "golden".
They don't offer any special trip, though. They are Psilocybe cubensis. As long as you don't clone special shrooms yourself, or isolate certrain traits, any grow differs from other batches in potency & effects. Golden teachers from person A can and will feel different than golden teachers from person B.
Besides that, each trip feels different. Your thoughts, feelings, expectations.. all this changes as we get older day by day. This impacts each trip tremendously. More so than the variety/strain that you ingest. You will never get a certain trip twice. Some people might argue about that, but that's just my experience and opinion now after ~10 years of tripping.

Trying my new grow tonight; Mazatapec. Heard lots of good things about this strain; not too strong, very spiritual and mystical.
First flush 1000g; check out the photos - a bit after the veils breaking, but been working away all week !!

400g made into tea and frozen in ice cube trays - each ice cube equivalent to 0.75g dry. And 55g going into tea for tonight

And 600g to be dried (after rinsing the coir off) and stored in Tupperware in fridge

Oh and got myself a couple of spore prints going - supposed to be hard for Mazatapec spores to drop, but these are doing great 👍🏻
Can’t wait

I followed BOD’s Easy AF Monotub Tek, from Getting Started, (almost) to the letter. Just as the first pins started, at exactly 2 weeks, that is exactly as Bod said it would be, I had to go away for 2 weeks to work!! Couldn’t have timed it worse. So they didn’t get enough air and were too humid for the first week. Got the mrs to crack open the lid a bit more and they recovered. Prob 93 to 95% water, but I’ll find out for sure tonight 🧐

So I made a tea from 55g leftover fresh. Calculated water content from the 545g I dried; worked out at 94.3% - It looked wet! So the 55g equated to 3.1g dry.
And considering Mazatapec are supposed to be slightly weaker than typical cubes, 3.1g was surprisingly strong.
Overall opinion; I REALLY LIKE MAZATAPEC.
Felt something at 20 mins, but come up really started strong at 40 minutes, by 60 minutes I was completely in the peak, completely transcended from space and time, having an out of body experience. This peak stayed strong right up 3 hour mark, when it suddenly started to wear off. Went to bed an hour later.
So even though the flush had been wetter than I usually get, the equivalent dry weight gave a surprisingly strong trip. I really like the come up on these; never felt anxiety, possibly because once it started it was such a quick come up. NOTE: broke the habit of a lifetime. Because I’d been busy all morning harvesting etc, I had loads to eat. Had a bowl of super noodles about 2pm. And as I’ve been away at work I wanted to spend some time with my girls, so I had a pizza with them at 5:30pm. I drank the tea at 8:35pm. So considering it takes a typical body 12 hours to digest a pizza, I reckon the come up on an empty stomach would have been even faster.
I’ve managed to get a couple of spore prints too, so I’ll be trying to do some isolation on agar.....
These will be staying in my inventory for many years, I recommend Mazatapec very highly, people.
