Can coco coir be consumed by humans?

I’ve searched on Shroomery, I found something but I can’t remember what the consensus was... and I can’t find the post. So I apologise before I get berated about using the search function. There is a clump of stems that has coco coir attached can a human consume any coco coir?
✌🏼

Yeah a tiny bit won’t make you sick. Well, it didn’t get me sick anyway.
But if you use verm, might wanna make tea instead of munching. Or at least chew carefully - you may chip a tooth.
Why not clean it off? If it’s just specs of it, chow right down. I kinda assumed it was clumps of coir.

It won't hurt you but I wouldn't eat it intentionally.
