Seeking different form of consciousness 1

Though my lack of experience, I'd like to explore more of what psychedelics have to offer. I've been doing a lot of research lately and am intrigued by many of them. Right now I feel a goal of mine is to reach a different state of consciousness. I've research Ayahuasca, smoked DMT, shrooms, LSD, and a few others. DMT is something for much further down the road, although I've read about high dose shroom trips that can be much more intense. peyote and salvia are interesting as well although I don't know too much about them. I feel comfortable with loss of ego and would like to see where it can take me. My personal experience is limited to mushrooms twice and lot of weed. The first time I did shrooms I took 2.5g, 4hrs later I took 2.5 more and smoked the strongest indica keef I've ever had. That took me completely out of body but I can't say I was even anxious during the trip.
With all of that said what would be recommended for a beginner with my level of experience? I'm open to anything and will always do the research first.

Try 4g of those same shrooms consumed at the same time. And skip the weed entirely.
Am I understanding that you have had only the one trip and you are already looking for another magic bullet?
If so, you might consider slowing down, meditating, working out, eating right, and sticking with the shrooms for awhile. It’s a journey, not a destination. The consciousness being altered is your own. You have spent your whole life building the frameworks of your consciousness. Why expect it to change in a single moment? The drugs do wear off. That’s why people talk about integration. Which it sounds like you are doing well. Taking time to reflect and connect with your own experience. That’s a key part of being able to use psychedelics for self improvement.
My vote is stick with the shrooms for awhile. Have you tried growing yet?

Personally, I would keep pounding the shrooms. Of course it depends on what you can get your hands on. Christ, if only these items were as simple as a jaunt down to the store.

They aren't overly difficult to get for me. I'll probably get more soon and store them for the summer. They're also very common where I live and as its a related field I'll probably learn to pick them.

My life is pretty busy as it is, My usual day is 5:30 am for wake up, the gym at 6 and meditation after, then classes until around 2:30. Studying until about 7:30 and then Judo at 8:30. I definitely keep busy. I plan to make my psychedelic use occasional. I'll look into growing for sure.

Salvia is hilarious, potent and doesn't last long. Read about set and setting which is the most important part of any psyche altering exploration imo. Keep in mind these tools have the power to reprogram your brain it is best to really get clear about who you are and if you're ok with that then that's already the highest consciousness you can have, just being present experiencing the moment. Drugs are Full circle you'll end up right back where you started but with more appreciation for what we ordinarily experience.

You make a good point, I reflect a lot but not in a sort of negative dwelling way. I'm not looking to change my entire personality, typically things than come up during the trip regard friends and normal interaction. I'm interested in Salvia, though I'll be doing a lot more research.

No offense intended but you do seem young/inexperienced. Reading is the best drug. Aslong as you're having fun I guess what is there to know?

You're definitely right, I am young and very inexperienced. I have fun doing with everything I do and I want this to be a part of it.

isolate each thing to learn about its nature by that I mean do not mix, keep notes - date them and be explicit. later combine to explore and refine your study of nature of your consciousness and how it is affected.
it is between science and entertainment. a more earnest approach is between morality, philosophy, and science. it is still entertaining but less tolerant of baloney.
lots to learn.
