 Day 3. Mycelium, right? Not mold?

I inoculated early morning on the 9th of March. So this is day 3. Please tell me it looks good...
There are four other jars all with similar growth.
This is my first attempt. Far as I can tell from pictures I've compared to, it looks good to me. But I'd like a second (more professional) opinion.

That is so good to hear. Really exciting. I've been wanting to do this for many years now.
I've got a journal going for my personal reference, so I can learn good.
I noticed growth the very next morning after inoculation, I wasn't expecting it to be so fast.
Need to invest in a PC so I can get into agar.

Newbie here too... Not sure if its going to be a problem but those type of jars look like they will be hard to get the cakes out when done with that lip inside. I know most jars used have the opening as the widest part of the jar. As far as growth that looks really good.

Unfortunately these are the only jars I could find. I'll be fruiting to shoeboxes ala Shaperdreaming.

Looking real good mate!
I would watch out for the neck of that jar tho, might be a problem to get the cake out if the neck of the jar is smaller then the cake.
Keep us updated.
If you are planning on spawning in shoeboxes like you wrote I guess you can use a tool to get it out either way

Wish I could have found wide mouth jars. Looked online, but found none locally. Shipping is too expensive from other countries.
I even went to a glass shop that is filled with all types of jars. All types, except for the type I need.
But it is what it is... anyone have advice on what I could use to get it out? Assuming I get to that stage. Like, just a fork or knife or something and break it up?
I have no idea what a brf cake even feels like, if it's hard or soft or slimy or anything.

Have you tried discount or dollar stores? They sometimes carry mason jars and they're usually cheaper than if you bought them in a grocery store.

If you're using the cake for a bulk substrate, you can get it out with a knife or fork. People usually use a cheese-grater to grate the cake when they get it out of the jar anyways (again, if they're doing bulk).

Like people are saying, it will be hard to get those cakes out of the jars intact. You're best bet will be brf to bulk. Here's a good thread to read.

Well today the mycelium has pretty much doubled in size in all 5 jars. I think the reason for it growing so fast is because I used way more spore solution than I intended.
Used up a whole syringe on the 5 jars... I was hoping to get at least 10 jars out of it. At least my vendor gave me a free syringe, so I got two more waiting. Might start another batch tonight... GT or PE6... I just need to be a little lighter on the plunger.
