Would you eat? 1

I have been posting about my GT cultures before. They are having a really hard time. However, take a look on how the second flush has been growing! I have never seen something like this before! Did you? They immediately dry out if I don't mist them for like two hours or so and I know they look like they're screaming "LET ME DIEE!" But at the same time I find them immensely beautiful! And I think I wanna eat them, eventhough they look like they're gonna kill me as soon as I touch them. But I feel like it wants to tell me something, but maybe it's just gonna fuck me in the A**... I'm probably just dumb as fuck in your eyes for even considering eating them. Giving it a second thought they're probably overgrown with infectuous bacteria.
My friend's cultures of the same strain grew perfectly fine, if not overgrown (is that a thing? Do they lose potency in terms of concentration if they grow too much?). That's the biggest one. They just let them sit for a couple of weeks without checking and it seems like I was too eager. And maybe I shouldn't have let them sit on the floor..
But yea, what do you say? Would you eat them?
In general I'm totally confused. I always thought mushrooms are not very sensitive to the way you carry them. Because I heard multiple times of growers saying once you're past the grain spawn step, you basically can't do anything wrong. So I kinda took it for granteed that they'll come. That probably was the mistake.
Edit: OH, and have you ever heard of a shroom producing toxic metabolites when it's unhappy? XD

I'm fucking dying! HAHAHA
Let's come up with a name for it. A friend of mine calls it Chernobyl Shroom, but I kinda like Acid Turtle more.
Do you think a culture growing from the fruitbody of that one would differ from the (agar) culture I got it from? Should be the same genetics right?

I think they are fascinating and beautiful in their own way.
Have you considered cloning it (before eating)?

I’d eat it for sure.
Looks like a turtle shell.
Also that surface is looking pretty rough. I’d bet conditions were a major reason for how the mushroom looks.

Yes! I would break it up, cut out a piece and put it on an agar plate. But I don't have any agar plates around at the moment and I feel like I need to hurry and eat it soon.. I guess after drying you can't clone it anymore, right?

Did you grow it in a desert?
If you can reproduce that, it’s cool AF
