Possible parasitic fungus on cubes. Verticillium?
    #26527261 - 03/10/20 12:55 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

Hello everyone. I’ve been having some trouble getting the fae correct in my mono tubs (I’m a somewhat newbie). I believe it’s causing fuzzy bases (I’ve heard to it referred to as fuzzy foot), and underneath the fuzz is a brown spotted discoloration. I’m worried that it’s a parasite, and I’m suspicious that it’s verticillium though I have an untrained eye. Which is where you guys come in

If we can identify what it is, then I’m hoping to get some advice on how to prevent it in the future. I’ve read from RR that imperfect fungi thrive in stale air environments so I’m sure more air exchange aka looser poly in the holes will help if it’s something like verticillium.. Maybe even some fanning if the fruits are getting too fuzzy? I’ve already picked a lot of these fruits.. so I’m worried my grow space will be contaminated if I indeed have a naughty fungus. Any insight is appreciated! :super:

And here’s a link to the original post about the jars that went into the tubs
