dimple pleat flow hood testing
    #26526428 - 03/09/20 11:53 PM (3 years, 10 months ago)

how’s it going thanks for viewing my thread i’m new to the game of mush growing but i have about 7 years experience growing herb not that it really applies but i’m somewhat familiar with cleanliness and sterility. anyway i built this setup using a flanders dimple pleat filter i saw someone using (quirk). it says these filters are made for laminar flow so what could be a better choice i think. they have a low static pressure as well at 100fpm

this is my setup

here is the specs on the hepa

i’m using a hyper fan 10” these are the specs for that

i was wondering what you all think of my bic test. i find it kind of odd that though this appears to be a 45 deg angle, my fan is on like 1/4 of it’s speed. according to the chart that’s way under the cfm it says it pushes at .25sp which would be like 600cfm i feel as though i calculated something wrong. in the photo i have the dial up as high as it will go until the flame starts to flicker. i’m conflicted because i see 60 and 90 degree angle being the definite show of tru laminar flow

anyways i’m scared to do anything in front of it yet. i have 4 syringes that i want to put to agar dishes

thanks for looking
