Czechoslovakia dissolved in 1993, and Prague is among the worst places to buy absinthe. Notice how on the Czech brands "absinthe" is spelled without the E at the end. It's a different product altogether, without anise, doesn't produce a louche, and with all kinds of silly rituals around it. It is a gimmick sold in tourist shops next to "cannabis-infused" liquors and fake weed, although none of that is legal there. Okay if you like the drink, but I wanted to clarify this. Czech Republic is a great country that excels in all manner of production, but I don't think it includes that drink. They are in like the top 5 of drinking the most alcohol per capita of any other nation, but they mainly drink beer. It would be worth trying a pilsner beer from there, where the style originated, named after the city of Plzeň. Pilsner Urquell is widely available and delicious.
Something in the same vein you could try though, is Becherovka Czech liqueur. Similar proof to your standard vodka. It's in a similar way to something like Chartreuse, Yagermeister, or even Absinthe in a way, even though it is way more complicated with how many herbs and spices go in it. Usually drunk before or after a meal or done with a tonic. One of those things where two living people know the recipe in the whole world.
If you want to try a traditional absinthe, try Duplais Verte from Switzerland. It's meant to be tempered with ice water dripped into the glass in ~1:3 absinthe/water ratio.

My favourite beers would be Belgian or Belgian style Tripels. I also like other Trappist brews as well. But the Tripels are were its at. There's something about that type of beer that tastes so damn good while simultaneously hitting the spot after only a single drink. Its so cheap over there too. Can't go wrong with Duvel or La Chouffe.
But the top two I've had so far would be; Chimay Grande Reserve (Tripel).
Delirium Tremens Strong Pale Ale (Tripel).

Funny you mention that. We are moving to a new office and I was moving some bottles of booze in the elevator, including a few Captain Morgans. There were 3 dudes in the elevator when I walked in, and they all freaked out when the saw the Captain. Turned out they all went to the same weekend where they drank too much and were sick all night
They didnt even want to look at it

I like authentic pirate type rum, always have to find the oldest rum recipies in the Caribbean or close to it. I have some Coconut rum from Nassau I just got recently and that shits AMAZING best 30% alcohol ive ever had, there's. It didn't taste real wimpy like coconut rum here it has a very unique kick/spice to it, the brown sugar and molasses commonly used in pirate rum is there but muted more. It's really just as good as a 20 year old oak aged scotch. I'm not sure what it's called but my favorite Puerto Rican rum that's just a brown sugar molasses mix is my favorite rum to date and it's called Ron Del Barillito
