yea i got a cheap one, looks like theres just a metal screw-on lid.
im thinking food coloring in the water would be cool too, u could change it every once in a while too.

wanna know what would be better if all the water was replaced with high-lighter and if possible even get a dark light for the light that heats it up it wou;d be so damn sweet because even f you don't have any lava laps it will still glow because the heatin lamp is a dark light!!!

By the way, ive never had a lava lamp to trip on .. what kinda stuff makes lava lamps soo cool. ... Like what do you see in lava lamps! thanks

i did it the other nite, only had to squeeze a few drops into the water to make it real murky and cloudy. just high liter juice would be way to thick, i cant even see the other side.
yellow highliter+blue wax with clear water is a good combination. the wax doesnt suck up the yellow and turn green either, still stays blue. im gonna give my brother a call and see if i can barrow his blacklight and watch a cool fuckin show!
what makes a lava lamp go bubbly is a hot lightbulb heats a bottle of wax and water from underneath. when the wax gets hot it rises to the top of the water and and then sinks down again..
