Turbulent hepa filter

I've ordered a h14 hepa, I've now realised it say it's a turbulent flow hepa filter. Its 280pa 18x24x6 mini pleat. Because it says turbulent is this not suitable for laminar flow?

I’m not 100% on this but I’m pretty sure you want laminar flow and a turbulent filter won’t deliver that. I’d give them a ring tomorrow and ask if it can deliver laminar flow, if not cancel that order and get one with laminar. This is the one I got with same company.

Will do man,
The only thing with them is that they have a super low resistance. Do you get good laminar flow from them? I think the highest pa is like 120 on then which put me off.

Mine was only 100pa pressure drop which really doesn’t matter as long as the filter and blower can deliver the required 100cfm at the filter face depending on size, mine was 24x24 so needed at least 400cfm. Done a smoke test and lighter test and pretty sure I’ve achieved laminar flow with this filter. Edmunters been using his for some time now with the same one and seems to be going well. I left an open agar plate in front of mine for an hour five days ago and no contams showing as of yet.
I wouldn’t worry about the resistance, just make sure you get a blower to match and that it’s designed for laminar flow.

So did you sort your filter out?
