What are the benefits of a martha? Would you still be growing in monos, shoeboxes, ect...?

As far as cubensis goes I will still grow in monotubs do to simplicity as they are pretty much setup and forget until harvest and grow well with low FAE. Also id rather use the space in my martha for species that are harder to grow due to their enviromental needs to produce quality mushrooms.

Marthas are great for species/genus that benefit from more FAE such as gourmets, panaelous, and other psilocybe such as tampanensis.

What growing methods do you have in mind? Bottles, blocks? My small amount of knowledge is limited to cubes so I'm new to all this. What kind of edibles are you planning on growing in there as well? I want to get into edibles but just don't have the space/time for something like this.

Looks awesome! Are you running the humidifier on a timer or a humidistat?

Primarily blocks and trays. As far as edibles it will depend on the temperature my house is at a given time of year and I will grow accordingly as id rather not gouge myself with a heating/cooling bill.

I have cultures in my fridge for pretty much any mushroom that is cultivated indoors plus many that i will be growing outdoors.

Most likely going to start off with a sporeless oyster to get it filled up fast as i just moved in not too long ago.

With the test runs I have done (filled with trays of wet perlite to simulate full of blocks/trays) I've found it best to just run it 24/7 and to just adjust the holes in the side to get the right humidity this time of year as its fairly dry where I am. But I got an interval timer for when the humidity begins to rise in my area. Not a big fan of humidstat as a lot of them are pretty inaccurate and I'd rather monitor my analog hydrometer until i get it dialed in.

The perlite blocks are an awesome idea! Might have to try that myself.

Yea trays of wet perlite are really helpful when you have a Martha thats not completley filled. Removes space you'd normally have to try to humidify while adding humidity.  When I add them to a fruiting chamber i put them on the bottom shelf so they will catch any water droplets and return them to the air. I will mist them whenever I mist my substrates aswell to help maintain their moisture. That way they never really dry out.

Much easier to maintain humidity in a full martha.
