If you woke up tomorrow and were a famous international superstar for the rest of your life... 1

...would you be a nice celebrity or a mean one?
If fans were all day long from the moment you stepped out your front door asking for autographs and pictures would you be nice to them and do it every time? Or tell them to go fuck themselves?
Some celebrities with bad reputations (as far as dealing with fans and just people in general goes) are Mike Myers, Michael Jordan, Bruce Willis, Jennifer Lopez (Lopez has a particularly nasty reputation who allegedly literally won't acknowledge one's existence unless that person has a certain level of power/pull within show business; again though it's just hearsay), Mariah Carey, Chevy Chase, Rihanna, Gwyneth Paltrow...to name a few.
Celebrities with good reputations would be Keanu Reeves, Matt Damon, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Ellen DeGeneres, Lady Gaga.
Would you be a cool celebrity or an unbearable one?

Probably the kind that only seems rude or uppity because they dread social interaction and are super stressed out by it.
Bill Murray seems like he's a cool guy to hang out with IRL.

Yeah there are stories of him just showing up at random people's house parties to hang out.
Seth Rogen seems like a fun guy to smoke weed with, not sure how much he is like his onscreen persona.

I guess those with good reputation are welcoming although they don't have pond for attention, its just for the fullfilment of other effort.
while the ones with bad rap are more straightforward badass who tells you right in the face, who needs praising and worship? just sometimes can't express their thoughts in a less rude manner. Damn I don't like the thought getting caught in the middle.
But I do find there are ancient rockstars who rocked more than the modern rockstars, they've expressed their thougths in a less rude welcoming manner by getting naked and ran in the middle of crowd.
Quote:
And the priest of Zeus, whose temple was at the entrance to the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds. But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, crying out, “Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men, of like nature with you, and we bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.Acts 14

If I were an international superstar I'd hype up that fame-ness towards helping orphans in Africa, where due to AIDS and other factors a very bad orphan crisis is unfolding.
I'd be the celeb who's always on and on about the Cause.
After Psi showed us what Redman does, have a gander at what Drake did:

There was a report during Superbowl week in Miami that a fan approached Floyd Mayweather for an autograph, in the morning -- and Floyd's response was something like "motherfucker not even a goddamn good morning first? fuck outta here"
The guy the started recording the rest and Floyd tossed some threats his way saying how the guy was about to catch an ass whooping with the guy firing back how he would sue. Floyd then got in his SUV and left.

Wasn't part of the reason (aside from his heroin addiction) Kurt Cobain killed himself was supposedly because he realized that he could never escape the fame?
By the way speaking of nice and and not nice celebrities, I saw some things that claimed that Cobain was a really sweet guy to fans

He “killed himself” because Courtney Love hired someone to shoot him in the face with a shotgun,
Have you seen that documentary/movie that came out 2 or so years ago name Soaked In Bleach ?(I think that’s the title)

No. I need to check it out though. Was there compelling evidence that she had him killed? What would be her motivation for doing that?

There’s an app called Tubi that has it. Tubi is sorta like Netflix but you’ll get a commercial sometimes during a movie, pretty painless. That documentary paints an interesting picture on what happened and it’s told by a PI that Courtney Love hired.
Tubi, free movies now! Download now to begin user subject to terms and aggrements. Not available in all areas.

There's so much surrounding that man's death, who truly knows what happened or what was going through his mind at the time. If it wasn't Courtney or someone else who killed him, then I'd imagine the idea of being known by everyone may have attributed to his suicide. But again, it's hard to say. People commit suicide for a plethora of reasons. 'll have to check out that documentary Amanita brought up too; haven't seen that one.

I don't know what really happened but I think people want to hate Courtney Love on the basis that the far shittier musician out of that couple was the one who survived. And that Cobain was kind of her main claim to notability. The Yoko Ono phenomenon more or less.

It seems to me like killing Kurt would've been detrimental to her career. What exactly would she gain from it? Without Kurt, there's little to no limelight for her. Wouldn't she want him alive so she could continue to be relevant?

Kurt was going to leave her which meant she wouldn’t get Nirvana fortune. I’m not sure if a will came into play.

I'd become a recluse overnight. I don't like the general public very much. My wife sometimes thinks that I'm snobbish but she doesn't understand that it's not snobbery but wariness. I don't like mind games, I refuse to play. I'm too old for bullshit and have been since my late 20's. Money and reputation does not make people good people in my humble opinion, not that they can't be but it's no indicator at all. People who like me instantly because I have money, position and/or reputation are instantly aliens to me and people who think I should respect them for the same reasons equally so. All that said I'm endlessly polite, there's just an invisible barrier that keeps the deluded away.

Was it called Kurt & Courtney? Most of the people who knew Kurt say he wasn’t suicidal. Another thing is most of the suicidal aspects were shit Courtney leaked to the media to put spin on things. That docu spells out a lot of things not mentioned elsewhere.

Rings a bell, I’d have to see a clip to know if I’ve seen it though. I want to say I have.

Eminem became a full on recluse shortly after he exploded.
Before he reached massive superstardom (after the Marshall Mathers LP) he was a completely different person
Eminem here, he was an up & comer, but nowhere near his global stardom yet, he was a polar opposite from the guy he appears to be today. The guy was the goofiest, playful, least serious guy on the planet.
Now he is rarely seen in public (although he did make a shocking surprise recently at The Oscars and actually performed) and when you do see him he now looks like he's wound tighter than anyone in the world. I don't think he has smiled in public in literally 20 years.

To answer the original question, I would probably be much like I am now where I extend mutual courtesies and mutual disrespects. NOW, ask me again like 5 years into it and I’d most likely be duckin’ people.
