My American Harvest just died (mid cycle of course) so it's time I get a good one. I'm looking for something less hot and loud. Any recommendations?

I would just recommend picking something BPA free if you care about those things. I got a stainless steel one, it's more expensive, but I like the design and the fact that I can remove the racks and put something larger in if I ever need to.

You beat me to it. There’s a guy I follow on IG that’s got 2 of these running 24/7 at max capacity.

Excalibur on Amazon, it has temp dial and a timer. I occasionally use mine to make beef jerky too.

Great recommendations! Is the cabelas one just way bigger? Im considering one of the excaliburs, seems there are a few different models though.

I just grabbed 2 presto ones at Walmart for like $90 I think they came with 4 trays a pop and their expandable up to like 8 as far as I know I haven’t even opened them yet, but they were cheap.

Nice. I want one.
Always decided against the nice ones because you can get 15 cheap ones for the price of a big one, and do way more

Running a bunch of little ones uses way more power. Plus the big racks in these are way quicker and easier to load
The big downside to these is you can't buy parts for them. They seem to be well built and hold up well
