Using a glass whiskey bottle to sterilize agar in PC

Do I need a filter? I used micropore tape then fit the cap on the whiskey bottle then foil.
Do I need a filter of some sort during the PC like micropore tape or tyvek or poly fill? I thought i read somewhere without a filter air may enter the agar and contam when opening the PC
Is this correct>>

Leave the cap a half turn loose, then cover it with foil. No tape, or filter.

You're welcome! Before you take the foil off tighten the lid.

I used to use wine bottles and whiskey bottles until Bod told me about media bottles. They are designed with a plastic inner ring and really helps to prevent drips when pooring. 15 bucks on Amazon for 450ml media bottle.

Or you could go cadamada and get 3 of them for 15 bucks. Not as good as Pyrex but definitely get the job done.
