Blobs or pins on PE shoebox?

This is my first attempt at a PE shoebox, 1qt spawn to 1.5 qts coir, with moist coir casing. Moisture seems ok @15th day, pictured. If I get a crop of blobs, should they be removed, or is it better to wait and see if regular pins develop later?
Thanks!

That looks really dry, PE seem to like water ime.
If it’s gonna blob bad usually the surface gets really colonized then starts turning a light tan and get speckled.
Let them grow and then just pop em off and wait for the next flush. Casing is a huge help for PE, even a verm heavy mix with coir would help I’d think.
The one on the bottom here was a weird clone that grew over the casing and put up a mix of tiny blobs and pins. It sucks cuz usually the blobs are like marble size or bigger so you can harvest them.

You can see the tan color with speckles especially in the middle and toward the bottom.

I was concerned about FAE too, however the condensation on the 'lid' and sides is quite heavy. The myc has ripped through the casing which was 100% coir, so maybe try a verm casing or no casing next time? 2 pics I took, 24 hours apart, showed major growth across the surface. If a few normal dicks follow the blobs, I'll be happy! Thanks!

the condensation just means your substrates putting off heat, mist your sub for now and whenever needed, verm is probably the worst choice for a casing material on its own, I wouldn't worry about the fact that your casing layer colonized just keep your surface nice n moist with good fae and get ready to clone. Yes harvest blobs when the time comes it's part of your first flush

I use jiffy 5050 mix right out the bag with no problems, or some people make their own with peat verm and lime or whatever to balance ph.

Here's a picture 48 hours after the original--blob city, and one end of the surface is well behind the other, which may be the unevenness of the warmth beneath it, or possibly moisture? It seems pretty wet. I'm setting up a better area for it, with more even warmth, misting and venting....
