Fookin ell!!! My new pc!

My new pc!!! 9700K cpu 1080 8 gig graphics 32 gig ram Asus gaming mobo...
I was enjoying a game of fall out when suddenly screen went black.
I restart my pc, nothing happens, even the fans don’t start spinning.
I have Led lights on mobo for VGA , cpu and ram, non of them light up. So I’m assuming it is mother board.
Whatever it is it’s gonna put an hole in my wallet

Ouch, sorry to hear that man! Check the power supply first, it's much cheaper to replace and more likely to die spontaneously like that.

Def check the power supply.Make sure the power rail that goes to the video board meets or exceeds the manufactures recommendation. Is the mobo still in warranty (just in case it is doa)?

Right, I think power supply is ok: I have brand LEDs on mobo and keyboard light up ok...
The rig is 2 months old. In 25 years of working with computers never anything like this happened before.
I'm gonna call Asus today and talk to them, maybe theres a reset jumper switch or something on the board, maybe I get it repaired under warranty.
If not my crypto savings account gonna get 200 quid lighter...

My led illuminated corsair keyboard lights up all keys
My corsair RAM sticks light up
Mother board logo is lit too.
That means power supply unit works ?
What if it is PSU ??

There are two or three 12 volt rails on a power supply (usually). One alone can fail leaving the other(s) working. Does your mobo have onboard video? can you try a different video card that doesn't require a dedicated power plug?

I did it, I figured it out
It’s the PSU
I resurrected my old pc, the one I’m upgraded from. Different mobo, different cpu, different memory The only thing I used is same PSU and SSD
So, I turn it on annnnnnnnnd.... same shit, fans spin for about half a second and then die.
I’m glad I got it sorted, like Ythan said PSU a lot cheaper to replace,
And I know how this happened. My pc case is a smart case, wide, and somehow last night the side side where ventilation for psu is was standing flat with my wall... I’m stupid it’s my fault, but it never occurred to me, PSU manufacturer’s Corsair and they been raving on about how their PSU can withstand extra high temperatures
Ohhh well, I’m happy this is over
Thanks everyone for help

Now i got another problem. Screen goes blank every 2 - 3 minutes for few seconds, then recovers.
My PSU is 650W, do you think its not enough, should i buy 750W???

Glad you got that fixed! First thing I'd replace is the video cable (ie. HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, whatever). It might have gotten damaged while you were doing all the troubleshooting and repairs. It could also be the cable receptacle on your video card or display, but hopefully not. Your video card should have multiple outputs and your display might have multiple inputs, you could try hooking up a cable to different ones.
