The Afterlife - Life after Meth 1

I recently got off meff. I see all the terrible things it does to families and relationships as well as the toll it takes on one's Mental and emotional health.
I'm not having trouble not using. But I'm having trouble getting motivated to do life. I want a job, but I get anxiety just thinking about the rejection that goes along with a job search.
i've patched things up with me and my girl. For the most part anyway. That will just take time to work itself out.
Anyone living the Afterlife now or in the past? Tell me stuff, help me help myself.

Meth releases dopamine 10 times more than any natural human experience. You need to just do what you need to do no matter how unmotivated. Idk where you are. You're best bet is going to the gym or a run or bikeride. You need to rewire your brain and exercise will do this. Lucky for you it only takes 21 days to succeed in Makin new neuro connections.
--------------------
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Psalm 12:6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Hebrews 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Meth was never my thing...
But take it one step at a time. Life is boring, it's tedious, and you're going to spend a lot of time doing things you don't like. Try to enjoy it when you can. We all feel this way, you're not alone.
Shithead is also correct in that exercise helps. Get out and move.

Those poster above are spot on, nothing beats excercise. When I come to a point of unmotivation, reading & meditation have helped me alot. Until I get my motivation back.

A long time ago I seriously abused amps. It took a good year to feel fully right afterwards, but as each season passed I did feel better and better. It was noticeable and reassuring.
Breathe and relax. Focus on the small pleasures.

I get the meth cravings every now and again still that's when I know it's time to smoke ganja and keep my hands busy. I get the cravings less now than I did during my first year off the stuff. I have had a few adderall since then though but it was just a low dose house cleaning adventure.

I decided to get a gym membership and work out every day for 30 days. And hit the tanning bed because I look like I've been inside doing meth for 6 years.

I was doing street speed in the 80's and 90's, no telling what all it was. I was also IV'ing it later in my use. I probably did it for 20 years off and on, mostly in my mid to late 20's through my 30's. I don't do it anymore. Exercising and eating well will make you feel tons better. The cravings will get to you a bit, but think about how much better you feel already. Plus it's only a mental craving, not a physical need. I even ordered some offline a year or so ago to see what the new stuff was about with all the pics I was seeing in here. I ended up giving half of the gram away. I don't miss it, thought I did. If I can leave it, anyone can!

Well hey, thats the one thing I don't have to worry about. Cravings. Granted, I still want to be high at times. But not on meth. Now I do realize I can't be hanging out with anybody who does it. Especially a functioning addict who makes the drug look harmless.
Because it is harmless. At first, so very harmless. All the time i've wasted.

Oh how I know!
Now I do realize I can't be hanging out with anybody who does it. Especially a functioning addict who makes the drug look harmless.
This is the TRUTH!
