Stalled Pinning

I chose the fastest colonizing jars and then birthed them a couple days after they were 100%, cold shocked/dunked for less than 6 hours, and put them into a terrarium where light has been shinning on them for 6-12 hours a day for almost a week. Not one pin.
I now know that i should have coldshocked/dunked for longer, but is there any other reason that these are not pinning?? They are the Koh Samui Thailand Super Strain.

Yeah you should have dunked for at least 12 hrs to really saturate the cakes well, but unless they took a really long time to colonize you should have plenty of moisture in them for a healthy first flush.
Less than a week and no pins. That isnt so unusual, just keep giving them the light, high humidity ,and fan out the co2 a couple of times a day and they will come around soon. Once you see the knots you are really close to getting pins. Good Luck!!

Remember, just giving them light and air do not always cause pins. There are three things that are needed in most cases. Light, new air, and lack of substrate to colonize Now if those cakes had substrate that wasn't done in the center you may be waiting a bit. This is a huge reason for people doing the "why arn't they pinning yet" posts.

I thought of that, sorry i didn't say it, but for these i inoculated in the center too, so i'm sure they're done. And as to the RH question... i have no idea. I don't have a monitor, but i've got a layer of perlite on the bottom and i fan and spray it a lot. I guess patience is the key

And yeah, these badboys colonized in like a week and a half (1/2 pints) so they're definitely healthy buggers.
