Moisture inside fruiting chamber.
    #2651647 - 05/07/04 09:14 PM (20 years, 8 months ago)

Well I read a bunch of the teks for casing and they all mention that there should be some moisture on the sides of the fruiting chamber. I'm using a tubber ware container (rather huge) covered with 2 glass sheets and I'm using perlite humidification. I placed my digital hygrometer in there and the temp is at 72.3 and the RH is 92 - 94%. Now my problem is that there is no moisture droplets on the sides of my chamber. Is this an actual problem or should I try and fix this somehow?

Thanks alot man!!

Mist the sides of the chamber with a spray bottle, but not too much.

Are you doing cakes or casings?

Butternut squash are softer than acorn or other types of squash, which makes them easier to cut and prepare.
