Won't say I haven't learned from it but some of my most profound experiences have been with insufflated DMT 60-100mg 30 minutes beforehand, most definitely more DMT like than aya guess something about the slower come up and increased duration lets me do more work. I mean I deal with my brain trying to kill me on a regular basis (though I've narrowed down my seizure triggers to physical vibrations and am trying various means to reduce them in my home), have been hit by cars, poisoned, drugged, and been completely and suffered organic psychiatric organic psychosis, poverty and always managed to bounce back, why am I letting a drug that has NEVER hurt me scare me I mean I'll drop 250+ mics of LSD and eat shrooms or other tryptamines 45 minutes later and handle a rough ride for hours maybe bawling my eyes out or being in absolute bliss but 10 minutes of DMT scares me even though I always feel so glorious and comfortable afterwards it's just odd to me.

Don't beat yourself up over the fear. It shows respect for the substance. Nothing wrong with that. I've done many grams of DMT over the years, and although I've had occasional moments of fear under its influence, my PRE-FLIGHT jitters (as I like to call them) are manageable.
Lots of people have (I hate to call it this) irrational fears or fears out of proportion to the actual threat. Claustrophobia, agoraphobia, fear of snakes, spiders, etc., etc. You may be able to desensitize your fear by doing VERY small amounts that you KNOW can't hurt you...and slowly work up from there a couple of milligrams at a time.
Hope it helps.

Back end is key. I’ve found that smoking it too early on in the trip tends to sober me up once it wears off, as the contrast is pretty stark. Can be hours after until the fact that I’m still tripping becomes apparent again. Granted the last time I mixed the two it was 100 mics of L, which isn’t enough to fully immerse me, so the contrast was quite stark indeed. The thing is though, I’m hesitant to blast off on stronger doses these days. When I take enough to immerse myself, a process unfolds. I like to focus my experiences & be ritualistic about them. Therefore it’s important to me to allow the process to unfold in order to glean the benefits which I seek. DMT is so powerful, and so otherworldly, that IME it alters the direction of the experience too profoundly to allow this unfolding to continue & resolve. That defeats the purpose for me. Whereas with lower doses it’s not quite the same, and therefore the DMT mixes in better.

I've only smoked DMT at the tail end of a trip once (mushrooms) but it was really incredible and I highly recommend it.

I've done lower vaped and smoked doses many times, they tend to be quite dysphoric for me actually not exactly bad actually I've found them far more valuable the the 4 times I've broken through as I can maintain the state for a longer period of time (actually very long time as one of my meds slows down the metabolism of tryptamines significantly, last breakthrough was 30mg vaped in 2 15mg doses 10 minutes apart, caught me by surprise). When I extracted my first gram it lasted me all of 3 weeks trying to get my technique down smoking nightly before I finally achieved my first breakthrough. My wife absolutely loves it as it's the only psych that gives her a trip on reasonable doses (she needs at least 1,400 mics of LSD for mild effects and is still talking at 2mg but describes a trip I'd find on par with 150-175 mics headspace wise but the full physical response to the dose ie; transient paralysis, massive bouts of emesis, heavy body load from pure cid, 7g shrooms was equivalent to maybe a gram for me from the same batch ie slight headspace shift, mild tint shifting and brighter vision). Probably going to vape next time my friend comes up as he had a horrific failed breakthrough attempt when he tried it and I ended up having to restrain him because he kept trying to walk around while out of his body and freaking out but he wants to try again with a higher dose to ensure he gets enough in him.

A ten strip doesn’t do much for her?? I’ve read about that before but damn. Not accusing you of lying, but you know what I’m saying. That’s heavy. Is she on meds?

She isn't on anything that would reduce sensitivity, she's got an insanely high tolerance to weed too she'll use it for pain a couple times a week and needs to eat 400mg thc to feel it, only things she overreacts to are NMDA antagonists which she needs lower doses than I would. She recently started moclobemide so we'll see if that makes any difference when she trips next since it's a RIMA. But seriously we started her at 250 mics for LSD knowing she didn't respond to other psyches very intensely and took it up a few hundred at a time until she hit 1,700 where she started really tripping and it honestly seems like 100 mics hits her like 10. DMT properly vaped still takes her 50mg to break through which I know is on the higher end. OUr best bet is her dyspraxia because she has several friends with it who all require insanely high doses.

What are your guys' opinions on hitting some DMT after the mushroom peak? I've read it makes it much easier since you're already cruising, as opposed to instantly going 0-100?
I'm planning on trying to learn how to work with dmt sometime soon in the future. I smoked some changa 1,5 years ago when i was still inexperienced with psyches and it wasn't pleasant, nor did it have much positive after effects. I didn't breakthrough mind you, just got to the waiting room of weirdness and was relieved when i got back. I don't really want to repeat that experience, but using it to deepen a mushroom journey might make it worthwhile.

Try it, see what you think man. Your reasoning is sound.
Lots of people love the combo, lots of people find the DMT headspace scary no matter how they approach it. It's a personal thing and no one can tell you how you're going to feel about it.

Yeah, only way to know is by experience. Maybe one can never be fully "ready" to enter the DMT space. Or only if you can get over the fear of instant death, a minor hurdle due to that whole "preference for being alive" thing. Wishing everyone the best in their quest to overcome fear

same thing happens to me the moment i put it in my head "your gonna do dmt" my heart throbs. like i just ran a mile as fast as i can. no amount of telling my self to clam down ever works till i hit the bowl.

How many have done this, out of curiosity?
I've never considered mixing another drug experience with DMT. I honestly think DMT is all you'd need, arguably the only drug you'd never really "need" to double up on with anything. Personal preference, though.

Mushrooms and dmt go very well together. I have only done it once, though, smoking some dmt while on a small dose of shrooms (~2g).
As shrooms are technically a sort of dmt (psilocin is 4-ho-dmt) they synergize very well together. On shrooms you are already half way in dmt land. The comeup on dmt then is very smooth and not too confusing. I liked it a lot.

I got you. I guess personally I'd enjoy the massive contrast between a clean head and a DMT trip. I could see the benefit of a small dose of shrooms, though! Good stuff, my friend.

I have done DMT on lower doeses of mushrooms (1g-2g) and it was a bliss. No pre flight anxiety and smooth transition. This was back when i used pure DMT freebase though. Not sure how it would react with Changa.
