I was hungry so I ate a light meal of sliced cured meats (salami and prosciutto) but I plan on droping some mushrooms tea in 1.5 hours!

Yeah, no long fasting needed at all. You shouldn't dose with a full stomache though. So don't eat two hours before dosing and you are fine. No need to fast the whole day, never understood this.

Fasting is beneficial anytime you want to get the most out of a mushroom experience, the point of it is to clean and purify the body for optimal connection with the mushroom spirit - it brings the focus solely on the mushroom as nothing else is interacting in your body

Even when not preparing for a mushroom dose, fasting makes me feel different just not having to process food all the time.

I think being hungry is bad for the trip.
Especially because you probably arent going to eat for another 6 hours or so.

Search on some recent posts on here; there have been many discussions where it is reckoned low blood sugars result in really bad / poor trips. Then as soon as you eat something, the trip starts to improve.
I think the 2 hour advice is sensible though; last week I had a daytime trip while my daughter was at school, but woke up starving! So I made myself a milkshake, which I thought would not be a problem. It definitely slowed down my absorption of the psychoactives. I’m not saying you don’t get the full benefit, just that it takes longer to get up to maximum effect.
Hope that makes sense?

Hmm I’ve literally never fasted before a trip. Assumed it was a spiritual get-into-the-yogi-mindset type deal.
In fact I make sure to stuff myself 2-3h before a trip because I know I won’t have the appetite to eat until the following day.
Might try it this week. I skipped a week too - for the first time in months - so I’m hoping to end up in a different dimension.

When you take a longer than usual break, feldman114, you definitely get “the magic”. Have an awesome journey 👍🏻

No worries dude. Yep some of the discussions on here about blood sugar were quite frankly scary, particulalrly as I have diabetes! So reckon I’ve always been lucky! General routine with Friday trips: breakfast at 8am - bacon and sausage butty at work, one homemade sandwich at 12, drink the mushroom tea sometime after 5. But I always rinse the glass out with orange juice, just to bump my blood sugar back up. Seems to have worked for me.....
Have a great one, I can’t wait for my next.....

IDK, psychedelics and humans have a long history, and for most of that history people did not have the ability to stuff their face full of food constantly.

So just a thought, but going on from Terence McKenna and Paul Stamets on stoned Ape;,when us humans came down out of the trees into the grasslands, we had to find new sources of food. So we picked mushrooms out of the ground as we walked.
Maybe the eating of the mushrooms was all te energy they needed for a trip. And maybe these days when we take mushroom tea, you’re not getting the same nutrients and energy from the mushrooms.......

I've had only had one near puke when using tea - you don't want a full stomach but a couple hours after eating is generally fine.

I have way better trips when I fast, my mind is in a better place and it definitely helps me with nausea. I guess personal preference, but trips are stronger and come on faster if you've been fasting
