On January 12th of this year i took a 6g trip. Spent the time solo in my finished attic listening to Classical music and meditating my way into quitting smoking cigarettes. I experienced ego death and realized I have no labels or names (among infinite other things). I simply exist as an energy form and my body is the vessel that I need to care for in my existence. All this being said, it was the most intense trip of my life and the most productive as well. (i don't smoke cigs anymore) I have had a lot of experiences, but all prior experiences were social not necessarily with intent. I followed the John Hopkins set-up and created a meditative mantra to fall back on and i carry it with me today. "I am fresh, I am new, I breathe life" imagine that with inhale and exhale splitting the 1st two statements and the last. My suggestion would simply be to maybe have an intent upon embarking on a solo meditative experience with a higher than normal dosage. Nothing is wrong with any way we do anything if we do it responsibly and with good intent. Best wishes!

Is there a big difference between 3g and 4g cubensis?

Hello, I'm planning on tripping on mushrooms later this week which will be 16 days since my last trip. My last dose was 3g, swallowed via capsules, and it was my largest dose yet. However, it felt like it was on the verge of a breakthrough experience and it left me wanting more - this is why I'm eager to trip again. So I have decided to up my dose and brew tea instead of just swallowing the capsules. My plan is to meditate and try and induce a strong transcendtal experience. But I'm not sure if I want to try 3.5g or go for 4g. I will also be smoking cannabis because I am a daily consumer and it helps with nausea and the overall experience. I typically smoke right before or during my peak and have had no issues yet. What are your thoughts?

I think I should too. Do you think theres any possibility of an ego death on 4g if I meditate and give in? I'm not necessarily going for ego death but if it happens I'll let it

Consider that capsule vs brewed is not going to be the same strength.
If you want to get a harder trip next time and you are comparing it to 3g dried, I'd stick with the capsules and go 4-5g.

Yes there is a big difference between 3g and 4g. But as above, stick to capsules so you can make a decent comparison.
I never had problems with cannabis until a month or so ago; I had started smoking before the peak had maxed and it led to a few really intense (not enjoyable intense!) trips.
Just something to be aware of; I personally would jump to 4g, and then only smoke once I knew I was firmly within the peak, I.e. not at the start of the peak.
Good luck and please report back 👍🏻

You know that feeling when it’s juuuust not quite enough.
You keep thinking about taking more even though you’re peak-adjacent You keep looking at the time thinking how little is left, hoping more trippiness is to come You feel “on the verge” of the next level but not quite there
For me, that usually means it’s time to increase dosage. Because of these instances, I got from 2g to 3.5g as my norm without any bad trips or overwhelming experiences. I’m actually secretly hoping my next trip will be underwhelming so I start going for 4g. Tried 7g just for the fuck of it - didn’t go so well. Nothing scary, but I didn’t remember any of the thoughts or takeaways the next morning.

4/4.5g is usually my standard dose. 4g is a very nice experience if you're in the right mindset without getting utterly blown away (sometimes) - I've gotten pretty mindfucked on that dose but.. I mean it is mushrooms we are talking about. Nothing makes sense.
I definitely would take the 4g of capsules.. mediate.. maybe some nice ambient music to help make the mood. And let the waves pour on top or you as you float into the sunset...

It’s not the worst question....
3.5g is like twice as strong as 2.5g but the difference is still 1g.

It’s too subjective no body can tell what your body gonna do on any given dose

Anybody can tell you that it’s not proportional to the weight difference. 5g is a lot more than twice as strong as 2.5g

Just backing feldman114 up; mushroom potency does NOT go up linearly in relation to dose, it goes up exponentially.
Stay safe people ✊🏻 ❤️ DJ Ed

5 is a great number heres why... Your iron clad insured to get full range effects and you can say you learned to the fullest (for you) on that particular species while not treading into deep water. You will likely recover ok from 5, most people with all statures for psychadelic exploration could find 5g cubensis a flagship dose. But it's all subjective bs...honestly. you go with the number in relation to your gut and reported science.
