Just scale it down

Good Luck

So i inoculated a couple of grain jars with the LC last night... will keep you posted on their progress. Did a few popcorn and a few WBS.

The other 2 jars i inoculated straight from the syringe is doing well though. 3 still showing no signs of life

Will upload some pics later of the 2 jars

Wish you luck!
Just in case everything fails catastrophically, those 2 mL of spore solution in the syringe are way more than enough for inoculating dozens of agar plates. So don't feel discouraged and learn to do Pasty plates, it's quite easy and you should be able get countless clean cultures to work with before inoculating grain or LC. You'll also be able to clone mushrooms from tissue which is really fun.
You'll need a still-air box of course but that should be easy to build (especially compared to a SGFC lmao)

Asian shops tend to stock agar agar. You could also try eBay or Amazon.

Here are the pics of the LC and 2 grain jars... when will i know if the LC is done and i need to place it in the refrigerator... and should i shake the one jar that is about 50% colonized or should i wait a few days longer?

Being Larger Grain they tend to colonize quite fast,
And a lot of that growth appears to be the more sensitive Fluffy type of growth.
If the rest of the jar looks ropy to you give it a shake but from here the one that is 50% looks like the fluffier sort and i let that be.
I find it takes longer to recover than the ropy type.
So unless i'm doing a grain to grain transfer or Spawn i just leave it.
This could all be in my head i haven't tested it so if anyone disagrees please speak up.

I'm not sure the proper time to start refrigerating.
I've always waited a week to see if colors show up tested it on agar then refrigerated.

I agree you should save your 2ml of solution for agar.
It will go a very long way

Good Luck

Seems like youre doing well. I strongly suggest getting accustomed to agar before diving into liquid culture though. Agar will allow you to really see what you got, make sure its clean, and its good to go from agar to LC. I've never gone from spores to LC and pictures can only do so much but the myc looks alright to me though.

Ain't that just the way.

Couldn't wait to show the jars though... here are the 3 out of the 5 showing growth and the LC inoculated on 22/02/20

And here are the 10 jars i inoculated with the LC on 07/03/20.

Hey mate

next time you make new jars i recommend only 3/4 full (a little less for g2g)
It makes it easier to shake, break up, and therefore easier to use.
Sometimes a full jar can stall but i guess the large grains won't because there will be easy air flow.

If you made these when you inoculated your original jars with spores.
Sorry for repeating my self.

Good Luck

Hi cna8... no the jars in the last pics i posted was the jars i inoculated with the LC i made and was done on saturday the 7th. These are small jars... i think 200 or 250 ml. From the grain level you see to the top of jars is just empty space... but in the future i wil leave a little more space... thank you for all your advice and guidance

OP, are you using synthetic filter discs or micropore tape so you have gas exchange?

Also, if you ever find a jar won't break up properly then it doesn't matter if you have a few chunks. You can also use a sanitised spoon or something when spawning to bulk which is what I had to do with some jars that colonised for far too long when I went away on holiday.

Hi Geezer. No filter discs or micropore tape... only 1 hole in lid stuffed with polyfill. Shook one of the popcorn jars last night... had no problem with it... broke up nicely... will check how the WBS goes when they are about 20-30% colonized

Hi everyone... Here are some updated pics of the Liquid Culture jars.... shook them right after the pics... will post again when they reach 100% colonization... dont see any contamination yet and no weird smells when i smell the polyfill.... cant wait to spawn and see if i get some growth...

The LC i put in the refrigerator.... can i make a new jar of LC using the mycellium in the LC?

Here are the popcorn

And here are the WBS
