Sunburn
    #2651328 - 05/07/04 09:07 PM (13 years, 11 months ago)

My peyote has been sunburnned , and I havbe moved it to a shady spot.

Should I jus twait for the burn to go away, and LEAVE IT in the shady spot, or slowly move it back in the sun bit by bit.

Also what kind of ferts sould I be giving my pedros , its summer so I am giving them alot more water then before, and I have alot oforganic nutes.

So what could these young 2 year old pedros want in term of N-P-K , during the peak growing season???

Leave it in some diffused sunlight until the burn dissipates or scars over. Even then don't put it back into the type of light it had before or it'll burn again.

It's been reccomended that people use miracle grow diluted to half strength. I sometimes use that or i use Schultz cactus fertilizer and use it everytime i water.

I'd probably use the schultz stuff.

I hate non organics so what I am really tring to ask is.....

What N-P-K ratio should I use during these hot summer months???

Personally I have never given my cacti anything yet, many organic ferts and some liquid organic mixes.(both of which are....bloom....as in 0-12-0 and 0.5-4-5

and my solids are

7-3-2 and 1-9-3

:stoned:
