Are these Gyms in my Trich pots? 2

Habitat: Growing in my Trichocereus Bridgesii pots, the substrate is Miracle-Gro Cactus, Palm & Succulent Potting Mix, it contains a mixture of forest products, sphagnum peat moss, sand and perlite.
Gills: Yellowish to rusty orange when dropping spores
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Cap: When young the cap starts off pinkish purple, then the cap turns more dark purple then it kinda fades away to a reddish orange. Caps are scaly in texture.
Spore print color: Rusty Orange
Bruising: Didn't notice any, tried to heavily bruise to see if it would bruise bluish but couldn't see any bluing.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.

Gymnopilus luteofolius group, perhaps G. dilepis or G. thiersii. The next step is to check the cheilocystidia shape at 400x magnification to see if they have capitate apices.

are you using a commercial cactus soil? I think it would be neat to document the spread of fungi through commercial sources such as potting soil, mulch and compost.

Really cool find, especially since it's growing with bridgesii seedlings. Did you grow them from seed?

Yeah started from seed, so baffled on how they got there in those pots. I did find some wild Gymnopilus Luteofolius a few months back, I don't think they could have found their way in because of that but who knows man that's my best guess.

Nice, beautiful plants. Yeah, a few months seems pretty quick for them to go from spores to fruits. The potting soil was probably already colonized, but who knows.

I sterilized the soil in the microwave for a good 10mins, with 1:00min × 10, as if it's in there to long the bag starts to melt. So I do think any spores would have survived.

Might even be just a true G. luteofolius. Looks like MiracleGro cactus mix is mixed in Georgia and New Hampshire, certainly from local materials, so if it did come from the mix itself, you might have an eastern North American luteofolius.
I think I heard somewhere, might’ve been Alan here on the forums, that Gymnopilus luteofolius or something in the clade had been traveling from east coast to west coast in potted citrus trees. So there’s that, and G. luteofolius is known to be in New England.
Now that word is out about this ready to gro Gymn mix, Scott’s Corp is gonna see an unusual spike in sales of cactus mix and wonder why... just kidding... see statement below.
Legal disclaimer; I’m sure that the responsible corporation that makes these fine mixes and adjuncts has no knowledge or involvement in anything that may grow in their mixes and that any/all flora and fungi growth is coincidental or by action of the consumer.

Attempted to clone it last night but failed as I fell asleep waiting for PC with the agar inside to depressurize haha, but agar is cooling down now and almost ready to go and will be printing it as well.
