Do the cups come from the factory clean, to open the pack in an SAB and pour them?

They don't. Would be cool if they did. There's just no good way to frame those ketchup cups. The lids are total crap and without some ridiculous amount of prep there's just no way to sterilize them regardless of rather you can pull of a one-time win with the cups themselves before they start to warp so badly they're useless. Just more plastic for the landfill. Couple more bucks and you an get slime containers or PP5 deli cups.

Will you link to some? 'Slime containers' on Amazon returns all kinds of stuff. I am looking for deli containers with pp5 lids, too. Alien's link to Holy Grail containers seem have changed to flip-tops:-( I am new to agar, so low skill, at this time.

Those would be for pre-pours. The only thing you'll find pre-sterilized in a package suitable for agar is petri dishes. Prepours are super easy, eliminate the problem of pouring agar in the SAB, don't require parafilm uless the lid gets wonky after a while, etc. You can just dissolve your agar recipe in hot water, pre-pour in your containers you've modified the lids of with a gas xcchange hole/micropore tape, lid, foil over lid, and done. Just like in any of the pre-pour teks.

Got it. It looks like a simple enough place to start. thanks.
